@@JohnWick-yv2zp gusty winds are a common thing during summer thunderstorms but most of the time it isn’t strong enough to be considered damaging. Microburst can form every once in a while and when they do, they can be damaging

I hear you on the pesky winds..and how they get your camcorder all wet and even drown out the thunder...as for my own Tstorm videos((I got plenty of those too))...I always keep the wind from blowing into my own camcorder...thus the excellent sounds of the thunder...heeeheee.... Love this video of yours...big time from 7/11/16 MON..
Thanks for the comment James!! Are you in the TB Area too? I love the E to W patterns because they bring the best evening storms to Pinellas. Summer before last we were stuck in that annoying W to E pattern, which only gave us storms in the morning/early afternoon. But I think this past season was a good one. I try to keep the wind out of the video by cupping the mic on the camera. I just got a GoPro Session (waterproof out of the box) and I am very excited to try it next storm season. With that camera i can just leave it outside and let it record. The video quality is a bit crappy at night but I hope it catches lightning bolts at least. The camera I used in the video is an old 2011 Samsung camera. One of these days I'll get a nice one. That's cool you have storm videos too. I'll check it out now!

Indeed..and as for your own area.....those E-->W winds do aid in those awesomed Tstorms...and in fact...back on 7/26/03 the such E-winds brought a huge Tstorm near your area..I know this because another Tstorm buddy videotaped a monster Tstorm from South Pasadena FL..with nonstop lightning and tons of crashes...all from an E--W--wind and ''sea breeze front''..and I got his copied 7/26/03-Tstorm video((this was 2 years before the advent of TH-cam..))...Excellent on your nice plans on keeping the ''thunder-drowning winds'' right out of your camcorders..as I do the same to my own Tstorm videos....and awesome on the ''GoPro Session'' so you can capture and upload those monster-Tstorms like on 7/26/03, heeheee... 2017-1-11...I just saw your comment and that's okay about the delete haha. I did have a look at a couple of your Tstorm vids back when I left that comment and they were very cool! If the weather pattern is normal (which the last couple of years have been a bit different), we will get 1+ storms just about every day from June through September. Most are during the afternoon/late afternoon but others will sometimes roll in after dark. Now that I recently got a waterproof camera, I plan to compile a big collection of storm videos this coming summer. I can't wait!
Those Bells go on my Nervs .. I hate things that Hang around dancing in the Wind . Put them off .. The Sound of the Waether is nicer and very Relaxing.
