    I thought Snapdragon was the tiniest seed until I grew Heather! Those things are THE smallest ever!!!

    Love your channel. You are so inspiring. Snaps are lovely. Can't wait to see yours in full bloom. What is the width of the ground cover in your hoop house? Did you burn the holes or buy it that way? I would love to see a vido on how you manange your hoop house and maintain sol fertility under the cloth.

      The hoophouse is 16' wide. I have 6" fabric running on each side so the middle is open. I burned the wholes myself and did a video last year on it! Check it out

    Thanks Christina have friends and family save those white plastic circle pieces in pizza box when you order. My niece saved me tons especially with Super Bowl ! They work great! I can’t wait to see your snaps! I ordered from Geo greenhouse forcing Chantilly bronze white throat and light pink. What zone are you?

    Just as I was going to ask about sifting the compost, you came across the rock! I use that product , also, and have tried sifting with hardware cloth, it works just ok.

    I knew you'd fill up that hoophouse! Just so much more you can do when you have the extra space/earlier growing. You have re-seeded things like I do..cept mine are always outside ...and usually where you don't want them to grow! The edge of my driveway! Then.. my husband thinks he has to spray for the weeds. So, I really have to do driveway patrol in the spring. I usually think to give him boundaries away from my areas. I have snaps coming from f.Bailey..with some other things. Guess I'm getting old/lazy. I just don't want to start everything from seed anymore. But, I do zinnias,celosia,stock. Almost time to get my hands dirty!

      Reseeding is the best! Free plants!

    You make it look so easy! I was successful growing these in winter sowing last yr and as a hardy annual overwintering in my raised garden bed. Going to direct sow some this time. Trying to see what works best in Ind 6A. HOW IS THE RENO DOING? Would love to see it. Love your hoop house. It has worked out so well for you.

    I always sift my fort vee for soil blocking. Are your rows 4 feet wide?

    Thank you for the great video. I am in Montana in a very similar zone and just put up my hoop house late last year and I haven’t planted anything in it. How many weeks would you estimate on snapdragons that you get by planting your snapdragons early?

    • @SunshineFlora
      @SunshineFlora  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Snapdragons can be planted out when you still get frost, so you definitely can plant them in the hoophouse early. I am going to be conservative this year and plant a month early and see how it goes

    Would you mind sharing which grow lights you use? And does the distance away from the grow lights matter for you? I’ve used domes in the past for humidity but then my plants get leggy, I’m wondering if I should use Saran Wrap so the lights can get closer. I’m determined to get snaps to work for me this year! Thanks!

    • @SunshineFlora
      @SunshineFlora  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I use shop lights that are 4000 lumens. No need to use fancy grow lights! Keep the lights close when they are smaller and raise them as the plants grow

    Hi Christina, have you tried a shade cloth on the hoop house to keep stuff blooming even as temps rise?

    • @SunshineFlora
      @SunshineFlora  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes in the summer I have shade cloth on

      I’m hoping about a month

    Hmm..I have seen other vids where people say snaps do not want a heat mat. Now I’m confused.

    • @SunshineFlora
      @SunshineFlora  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’ve always used a mat for mine and they have been fine. Some don’t use mats if their room temps are warmer

    I had some trouble with the Fort Vee being too dense for soil blocking. Did you have that experience and did you add peat or coir to lighten it up?

    • @SunshineFlora
      @SunshineFlora  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I use as is and so far it is working fine

    Are the Maryland snaps good for growing in summer like the patomic? Sorry for all of the questions lately I'm new at flower farming and Google searches are inconclusive sometimes

    Temp of heat mat? Lights on 24 hours while germinating?

    • @SunshineFlora
      @SunshineFlora  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No temp gauge on the mat. Lights on 24 hours while germinating. Then switch to 16 hours using my timer

    How are you able to fertilize your plants through the holes in the landscape fabric? ❄️🫠💚🙃

    • @SunshineFlora
      @SunshineFlora  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Water goes to plants thru holes but moisture also goes thru the fabric
