🔹 In this video I show y’all what I believe to be the best stego build. It is focused around forcing your opponent to either, give you distance OR putting them in an awkward position so you can land free hits. Of course I don’t know everything so feel free to tell me if I made any mistakes in the comments, pls subscribe ❤️
🔸What’s the game?
- The game is Path of Titans, It is an MMO dinosaur video game currently in active development for home computers and mobile devices fully compatible with cross platform play. Play as one of 18 core dinosaurs in a rich ecosystem filled with complex AI creatures and up to 200 other players. Explore an environment filled with natural events, quests, guilds, adventures, and free-form play, all while enjoying a rich life, avoiding death, and augmenting your dinosaur to suit your play style.

Ooo boy, this lad has been my main for the longest time lol.
Didn't realize how potent that charged bleed was until I hit a face tank rex twice with it, discouraging it from moving an inch, rendering it an easy target lol.
That, and I personally believe even without fresh blood, that tail swing is the single most damaging attack there is, if you account both its short cooldown and full bleed damage

Stego is about to become more powerful come the next major update. According to the test branch, the bleed cap has been raised to 3, and Stego got a buff to its tail attacks
Side note, can we get an Anodontosaurus build? I always felt like I was playing Ano wrong
Meg is not a problem since last update. Charge break and tail slam with defense is the clobber apex build.
With hunker down bleed is not a problem anymore, since the 95% damage reduction also works for bleed damage

Yep, tested its bleed on the ptb and it can bleed out an eo with just 5 tail attacks.

Traction is great with solar plates as you can run around causing massive bleed to work on your opponents thats why dueing the day fighting a stego is costly

idk about the first pvp video with the pot rex, imo trading hits with the rex is the best way to go. LET ME EXPLAIN!!! so what i do is i wait until he decides to chase me and have him be in the range where while he runs and i run he bites the very tip of my tail and i tail attack into his head. (head shots do the same amount of damage as body shots, i’ve tested with damage counters and stuff) if he doesn’t try the chase at first, i’ll have my back turned to him and will stand maybe about 1.5 rex body lengths away. his only option is to chase me if he wants to fight. I’ve done it with eotrikes before, although it is harder.
then to finish them off, charge up tail attack is the way to go.

When it comes to their tail swings, what is the hit box for it or their range in general? I feel like I miss a lot of hits during fights.

For once the opponents played fairly well. Rex should have tried to trade a bonebreak for a charge tail but they still did well, and I do kinda wish the Spoon was a defense build but +speed can help. I will say would have also liked to see either the Rex or Spoon with Stomp on it. Those do 120 damage each and will make it much harder to trade blow for blow with a charge tail or even tail riding.

is the 5% extra health noticable compared to the other subspecies in pvp? i would do my own tests but im horrible at pvp lol

How does Stego fair against multiple, smaller opponents? Like fast mid-tiers? I imagine they can just run if you charge up the attack or evade the swipes. Any tips on how to deal with that?
It's situations like this where both pivot and positioning are essential. Pivot, as it helps to play mind games with the little blighters hunting you, and also being able to cover a wide area per swing. And positioning for... obvious reasons, if you're out in the open, you're easier to get around, but if you place yourself around solid rocks, trees, or even a cliff, you're that much harder to go against.
Basically, if you intend to deal with apexes, this video is absolutely true, given proper stamina management, but for group assaults from light or mid weights, Lone Survivor with pivot will not let you down, especially with how close most mid weights need to be to deal damage. I.E. Dimetrodon, Dilophosaurus, or Alio to name a few
Yeah pivot is much better for killing smalls, the reason I say it’s not the best is because it can’t do anything else

Has the therizinosaurus build changed at all? Is it better using the new Sucho claw attack on Theri? Now that Kentro and Iguanadon are getting nerfed I might have to try maining stegosaurus from now on when a herbivore
trust if you use claw barrage you will be able to body ANYTHING (for the most part), theri is super strong rn

Kentro is still gonna be powerful, imo it was too tanky in the first place, idk if its intended to facetank a dasp but I fought one on dasp and it ended up killing me even if we were trading blows, idk how substantial iggys nerf is gonna be in-game vs on paper but hopefully the bleed increase will make people less angry lol
Your green, black and red stego skin is almost if not exactly identical to the one i use too! Is yours also inspired by the isle evrima stegosaurus?

Because I feel stego already does enough damage with this build, i thought it was more beneficial to give the stego more hp because we sometimes trade hits with this play style
@nvGunn plus, more max hp just means you're that much less likely to suffer from bleeding out. More armor can only do so much against bleed, but more hp, no matter how little, makes it that much more difficult to be bled out.

stego seems to actually be viable now, but why go with the health sub?
Because stego is forced to get hit while fighting so I think the health is more beneficial than the + attack
