IR1000 vs IR1200

The New IR1200 is a 3874 lb mini skid steer vs the 3376 lb IR1000. The operating capacity is 1300 lbs at 35% vs the 1116 lbs at 35% for the IR1000. 85.5” hinge pin on the IR1200 vs the 83” on the IR1000. The IR1000 is wider and more easily accessible at 42” to the outside of the 8” tracks or 43.5” to the outside of the counterweights while the IR1200 is 39.5” wide to the outside of the 8” tracks. 39 inches gets a little sketchy on the side of a grade.

At 39.5" wide this machine is wider that many other narrow machines that are 36" wide such as the MT100 narrow track or the scl1000. Best practice when operating on a hill is traveling straight up and down and keeping your load down low. However, if you want a wider machine, the IR1000 is 42" wide at the tracks, or 43" wide if you upgrade to 9" tracks.
