Here in Alaska years ago I knew a man here that had a Ockebelo but it was a heavy duty work snow machine. He used to haul fuel, supplies ect to his cabin at Bunko Lake, in the foothills of Denali mountain.
I speak a couple of languages and I'm always surprised how different words are pronounced. You say "snomobeil" and over in the US we say "snomobeel". Thanks for sharing this wonderful video!
The little 377 will go forever. My favourite fan cooled engine. So odd hearing it in a euro machine. I had to look up your weather forecast and basically sweden has stolen Canada's snow, please return it.
Much respect and I have alot of appreciation for those type of sleds👍👍 2 years ago I got lucky and acquired a 92 Jag440LT single carb w/1200 mile. My cousin and I cleaned it up changed alot of parts lowered the gearing and he changed the clutching. I tore down the engine, added new seals, and he changed the bearings on the crank while I replaced all bearings on the sled. Its pretty much a tractor now and tops out at almost 50mph but it can tow heavy sledloads of logs😁👍👍
Once warmed up that enegine sounded great. The Long Track performs well is deepish snow with only moderate throttle modulation. Really enjoyed the video and seeing some snow. Where I am we actually had rain and above zero C and now lots of gravel on the bare roads. Never saw a Winter like this in many decades.
Thank you. 😊 I had forgotten that choke is barely needed when priming properly... We have much more snow now, usually more than a meter in total before spring comes in April.
Cool sled , the vintage old snowmobile and groomer market is real big in the US. They’re events dedicated to having old equipment. Thanks for showing it and nice land and place you have.
Yea. It's pretty easy to bypass. Though, the wires seem to be a bit brittle. So I did not want to mess with it in the barn. I am planning to redo a bit of the wiring later. The lights and hand warmers work just randomly...
I have an old 1995 440 Arctic Cat panther Deluxe Not a whole lot different than your sled In being a long track fan cooled single carburetor. Definitely not as comfortable as the newer machines but they're very reliable It's my ice fishing machine machine so I can still go out on warmer days and I don't need a lot of snow to keep it cool down Unlike the liquid-cooled machines. You live in a very beautiful spot. So quiet.
I agree with you. There are many advantages with these older, fan-cooled machines. Reliable, cheap maintenance and easy to work on. Most of my vehicles are rather old with more basic technology. Thanks! We like the calm here. :)
Thanks for the info. 😊 I think i rode one early 300 when younger but cannot remember for sure. The 250 I have never seen. It's a pity Ockelbo was cancelled. They seemed to be really good at what they were doing.

I love the sound of the old 2 strokes strokes and the sweet smell!

Yea it's a really nice engine. Rather low on fuel too. :) We would gladly return the cold, but the snow we keep. ;)
Agreed 377 is this most reliable and fuel efficient snowmobile motor for a work machine.
Seeing this in Maine USA.. this is awesome. Don't see this kind of content often so thank you good sir
That makes me happy to hear!
Vilken härlig snöskoter 👌

Thanks! It has become pretty popular here in Sweden too during the past years.
nice sled delightful video sir thankyou!
Happy New Year ! From the Upper Peninsula of Michigan , December 31 , 2023 , 3:32 p.m. here , Skäl
it's super modern compared to the Ockelbo 600 -79 which i used to drive maintaining the skiing tracks. Hälsningar från Vaasa, Finland!
Awesome Machine
That's a beautiful old machine, I'm pretty sure you can just unplug the back of the key switche to start it if you don't have the key.

I had a Old Skidoo that never had a key and that’s how I ran it the whole time I had back in the 80’s
These had really good rear suspension.
I ride a rocket ship Polaris today , but old snowmobiles , that’s where it’s at !
Nicely Done! (= Very nice old school suspension setup. And it Just Rips !! (=.. Noice!
awesome! from west branch iowa USA

Vad gött ni har det!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastiskt!!!
When i was a kid portland would get 4 feet...i miss it.
We usually get around 4-6 feet every winter. Though, this period is very cold. Today is -26C...
Nice machine.
The ockelbo 250 is the rarest ockelno snowmobile and i dont have a 250 but i have a ockelbo 300-71 that are a really rare 300 model
Thanks for the info. 😊 I think i rode one early 300 when younger but cannot remember for sure. The 250 I have never seen. It's a pity Ockelbo was cancelled. They seemed to be really good at what they were doing.
Did Ockelbo ever develop their own IFS?
I don't think so. I'll look it up and discuss it in another snowmobile video. 😊
Gøyal video!!

Har du revers på denne?
Tack, och tack för bra info!
Jag har tyvärr inte backväxel. Men jag söker efter en växellåda, så om jag hittar en ska jag montera det.
Love it
Start it periodically throughout the summer months it will thank you… that way she doesn’t feel like a forgotten piece of junk as most do 👍
Yea, my plan was to do so but time flies... 😅
hei.har en vaksellåda fra en ski doo safari 377.fra 90 tallet husker ikke helt årstallet.
Det låter intressant. Jag funderar på att montera växellåda med back på den. :)
Pieceful until you take out the outkilbooo.
😂 needed to hear some noise, I was worried my hearing had gotten bad...
you had to walk a ways to get that key huh lol
Haha, yea. Good to get some exercise, though, it got quickly colder...
styling similar to Yamaha from 80s
Vindelns finest
That right hand lever confuses me
It is a "parking brake". The left handle is the driving brake. A friend explained that to me just after the video was posted. 😅
250 Elan , my first ride , advanced Kitty Cat , for Scandinavians , Kitty Cat ,
Yea, I had an Elan too. One cylinder with the long track. Amazing machine to drive in tight forest. Though, it vibrated and sounded like h*ll. 😂😂

Jag vill nå en bredare publik. 😁 Tänker att det är spännande för folk runtom i världen att se hur livet kan se ut på landsbygden i norra Sverige.
fin skoter har en 3502 en cylindrig
Tack! Kul att fler har dessa klenoder. Det tillverkades inte så många.
