Steering column or shaft , No holes, rusts, welds, not bent, Properly mounted and secured to the u-joint, 2. U-Joint is not missing any bolts and is well greased and properly mounted and secured to the gear box: 3. Gear box is properly mounted, no cracks, damages, not leaking any hydraulic fluid. Supply return hoses off of Gear Box: properly mounted and secured, no abrasions, bulges, or cuts. Gear box is properly mounted and secured to the chassis, no illegal welds. The gearbox is properly mounted to the pitman arm. 4. Pitman arm properly mounted and secured not cracked or damaged. Pitman arm secured to drag link 5. Drag link properly mounted and secured not cracked or damaged. Drag link is secured to steering knuckle. 6. Tie rod is separate and lower down. 7. The CASTLE nuts and COTTER pins are present and tight. The sockets are not worn.
this would be a fail in CA did not complete the steering parts list and called the steering arm a steering knuckle. Parts in order = Steering shaft,U-joints, steering gear box, pitman arm, draglink, steering arm, steering knuckle, tie rod, tie rod end, ball joints, castle nuts, cotter keys. for any CA testers
Thanks for your feedback, here in the states of Florida, it's permitted to do the steering components like. Once again thanks for your feedback it's always good to know.
