These are amazing, the fact you take the time to also write down the recipe and method. Excellent, it's like a cook book and a video to show you how. 10 out of 10
Hi Alex looks great again were in Glasgow can I buy smaller packs of Lucky boat noodles mate don't want or nead a big box of them would last me to long
Seewoo are the only ones who sell them in the smaller bags Colin..About £150 for eight nests..It doesn't say Lucky boat on the packaging just says Seewoo. They're situated at the front shelves near the checkout..
Same ratios for fried rice instead of noodles? Love Singapore noodles and Singapore fried rice out of my local. Also i know lucky boat number 1 is best for thick noodles, but whats best for the thin ones?
Made this tonight, tasted lovely. I put a little bit too much curry powder in for the wifes liking, so I had to eat hers as well. I'll be doing the same again next time ;-)
Brilliant mate..Just a measured tsp is enough curry powder..Curry powder is one of the main ingredient in the satay sauce so it doesn't really need much
It's cooked Colin..When it comes to noodles and rice i just guess the weight. I'm not that far out..The lucky boat noodles i use come in individual nests. I just use one of them for each dish..It doesn't have to be an exact weight for it to work as long as you don't have hunners in it..
Great John using less will quite easily remedy the results..Some takeaways will make it hotter than other's..Singapore noodles are always advertised as hot and spicy but you have full control when making it yourself..Cheers John..
Check the description Paul..I've had a lot asking me recently if i could use grams as a measure because they find it's easier..Someone actually said what's all this cups and spoons nonsense..He's now blocked from the channel..Not the kind of people i want to associate with..In everyone of my videos i use cups and spoons..I can't win John ,anyaway i've added tbls and tsp opposite the grams in the description..
Hi Alex, I noticed you’re now uploading on TikTok. When doing this, make sure you enable comments on your posts, so more people can engage with you. A second thing, use hashtags in your description of your TikTok posts, this will help with visibility. Keep it up!
Thanks Tom ive never used Tik tok before and someone suggested i would do well but so far not really..I'll have a go at the things you've mentioned and see if that helps..Thanks for the advice Tom..
Thanks mate..All the takeaways will use the Lucky boat brand..It depends on what number your using..Lucky boat number 1 are the thick ones and 2 are the thin ones...For the thins ones all you do is soak them in boiling water for five minutes and then rinse them in cold water..They will continue to cook if not cooled down..The thick ones have to be boiled..If you've ever cooked spaghetti it's the exactly the same..Can take about 15 minutes but don't overcook..As soon as they are soft again rinse them in cold water..The reason your noodles are sticking is because you don't have enough liquid in the pan via oil or water..If this happens in takeaways the chef will add a few splashes of water to stop if from happening or you could add a bit more oil..If the wok dries up at anytime they will undoubtedly stick..So basically it's simple add some water..
Thanks mate I appreciate that, Jimmy’s is so incredibly tasty but there’s only so much you can take. I think most now know how hot the stuff can be and adjust accordingly. For the hot heads it’s not a problem. I love spicy food but there is a limit. There’s guys who eat phal and vindaloo curry’s for example is beyond me . I think it’s torture but they love it , cheers mate 🤣
Nice one Alex, looks as good as ever.
Thanks once again Graham..
Lovely Alex x
Thanks Darren..

Wok hei is certainly nice..
Same ratios for fried rice instead of noodles? Love Singapore noodles and Singapore fried rice out of my local. Also i know lucky boat number 1 is best for thick noodles, but whats best for the thin ones?
All the takeaways will use Lucky boat number 1 or 2..Number 2 are the thin ones..Hope that helps a bit mate..
Yeah cheers 👌👌

Alex when you say 180 g of noodles is that the cooked or un cooked weight

I only used a tablespoon of Jimmy’s as I find it quite spicy.... lovely results ... plate was clean when done.
Great John using less will quite easily remedy the results..Some takeaways will make it hotter than other's..Singapore noodles are always advertised as hot and spicy but you have full control when making it yourself..Cheers John..

DIY is not my forte Chris..My mate made it for me.This is a link for my set up..th-cam.com/video/xwItDXpRWTc/w-d-xo.html
Could you give the measurements in table/teaspoon instead of grams please

Great video 👍 when I use lucky boat noddles they always stick to wok, how do you prep yourself ?

No probs mate always happy to help..
That's a lot of Jimmys. I love the stuff but its nippy AF. I'd definitely use more if it had less chilli in it.
