You can speed run the south with a baryonyx, and you can speed run the snow and swamp cave with wolf, my wolf has 11k health and 800% attack and it's only like 224 lvl

You are fortunate. My server is also med difficulty, and I've recently encountered scorpions in that cave as high as level 580 with nearly 10k health. Most are around 150-300 but it occasionally spawns *much* higher level ones. It didn't used to do that until the past couple of updates, so I assumed it was a rebalance of difficulty since they removed the dragonflies, which effectively made the cave super easy for a good saber or wolf. Oh, and I think those 'hearts' are supposed to be spider egg sacs. I could be wrong.
Iguana, use Barryonyx, I used it for two caves and it very very HELPFUL! And I think bring some grenades to because I love to use it and blow up all the creatures XD
They have sneakily nerfed the Swamp Cave Artifact Tribute for those who have not noticed. It used to give 4 rewards with the Tribute, now it's only 3. Used to get 50 Potent Dust, now you only get 25. You get much more crappier Asc Blueprints. And you now have a much much lower chance to get any Soothing Balms from the Tribute. I don't mind the nerf. They made the cave easier, so of course the reward should be less. Makes sense, right? Now what I do hate is how Wardrum nerfed it without actually including it in the patch notes. It's just like the nerf to the crowbar they did a while ago. Get a lot less Amber now. So definitely not worth the purchase anymore. You'd think that companies would look at the disasters that other companies have because they treat their customers like idiots, but nope. Wardrum still treated us like idiots, and sneakily nerfed these things, thinking we wouldn't actually notice...
let me add that too The Ice cave (the sky artifact) has been nerfed as well Just like you said the loots are more worst now, Asc Flak armor is now crappy and the loot you'll get most of the time are grenades and the flashlight helmet, and one random asc bp. before this it was uncommon to get Soothing balm and Amber, but now it is more rarer to get them. and that really sucks for freebies like me. I cant seem to enjoy the game to the fullest without spending any money to get what i wanted, isnt it supposed to be the only downside of being a freebies was grinding time. after the nerf, it just makes the time not worth it. speed running the cave and getting the loots that we desired is already taking a long time. the game makes us freebies not worth the effort. i dont know why Single Player got affected by this loot nerf.

And of course I understand that they need to make money. It is a free game after all. But changing things that customers enjoyed about the game, to make more money, is just going to cost them more in the end, since they're alienating their customer base. Just like the upcoming server wipes. It's their fault for launching with way too many servers, and now we the players have to loose most of our things, and time, that we have invested in the servers they seem to have "too low population". Why the hell didn't they just launch with fewer servers, then start up more servers if the amount of customers demanded it. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that it would have been a way smarter move, than launching with too many and then taking a shit on the customers that play on these "low population servers".
Hey Iguana, plz try the cave with scuba mask, tank and leggings and ghillie gauntlets and boots. Just don't carry anything that you want to loose and get a mount which u will have no problem loosing it, if anything goes wrong. Plz try it,I've tried it and came out alive. No need of Gas Mask.
7:55 she did not noticed a dark green box on her right🤣 Since I tamed the royal griffin I tried going to poison cave with Mastercraft gas mask, it didnt fit If I were you guys I would ignore those pesky insects and just run pass through them

Your gonna have to do the following: Step 1: u obviously need decent armor (I recommend u to use flak) Step 2: have a mount that can kill the direwolf or just use a sword or a pike Step 3: kill the wolf u want Step 4: revive it also use a trap Hope ur able to tame a high lvl wolf:)
Also has anybody else had the problem where their Allos move around? Whenever I leave my base to do something I find either one of them or all of them near the ocean?... is that normal? Has this ever happened to you Iguana?..
Donald Hanna no they were all on passive & not on wander.. 😅 I’m on single player & this happens a lot when I’m out doing a pursuit or something. Sometimes they even disappear & it just says “tamed by ???”
Believe it or not, you do need the gas mask. I've forgotten and went in there a couple of times without the mask and almost instantly died because of the toxic air

They nerfed that cave it use to give 100000 xp but now it gives 4000 and the loot is a lot worse

i recommend putting a helmet on a wolf so it would be better than a saber armor wise

kill it then take its implant get amber and revive it and tame it/build a taming pen
I forgot to tell u that when u kill it don’t harvest it cuz if u harvest it there won’t be an implant inside and then u can take the implant
Be careful as if the wolf is over level 450 it will be gone after a period of time

You just need to travel around! As you find new places, the map slowly fills in with where you've been
