I was listening to the Berg 3 Orchestral Pieces yesterday - some amazing harp writing in there - the flickering harmonies of the opening, the creepy low glissandos in the second movement - great stuff.
First of all, production values are great, and the editing makes for a smooth and seamless viewing experience. Thank you! It's interesting to hear the rationale for your personal preferences and evaluations. It helps me, as a composer interested in writing well for the harp, to keep these categories in mind. Also, I appreciate the links to related videos!
Lovely video - former violinist here. I personally appreciate your realistic approach on classical music and orchestral excerpts/parts as a whole. I'm sure every instrument has their own personal "Tchaikovsky's cadenza" excerpt (mine used to be the first page from Strauss' "Don Juan" 🤢) It's more personal curiosity, but I'd love to hear your take on some of Prokofiev's harp parts, he uses it a lot, I'd love a nice breakdown video (maybe of a particularly nasty orchestral part 🤭)
Thank you! Oof, Don Juan has some tricky harp parts also! And yes, I'll definitely try to discuss some of Prokofiev's parts soon. Lots of fun and tricky sections!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you found it helpful. The production is always a work-in-progress!

One very nasty is by Bartok - concerto for orchestra, the 2nd movement. Thank you for the video!!
Oof yes! And also those sections in the 5th movement, I've been seeing the fugue on excerpt lists lately!
the bane of my existence
Sounds excellent to my ears. And im losing my hearing in one ear, but i can hear the harp frequency just fine
Thank you!
