- In today's video, I'm playing the indoors map which Rainbolt has recently been attempting on his channel. Let's see how I'm able to do, using such limited clues.

Wait WHAT
I'm not a native englsih speaker and I'm not sure this means "don't die and also don't get pregnant" or "don't die or if you die then at least get pregnant"
Hi Oscar, Turkish person here !!! T.C. Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı means Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism. So “Bakanlığı” is not a place name, it means ministry and T.C. is abbreviation of “Türkiye Cumhuriyeti” which literally means Republic of Türkiye. T.C. is used so much all over the country it can be helpful to distinguish Türkiye if you ever struggle to do so. Lots of love from Türkiye 🇹🇷
*Turkey
@@kjul.Nah its Türkiye out of respect for the Turkish language and their right to be known by their name in the language they speak
16:53 Saal XVIII is like room number 18
I was wondering if that was the case because in French a word for room is salle
A "Saal" is basically a large room
@@Blodhevn666 yea in swedish its sal
I think the English word for that is "hall".
@@radomir101 yes
Rainbolt was cracked in that fr he got trauma from Vancouver and learnt EVERYTHING.
glad to know rainbolt has a weakness
11:20 100% Portuguese language. The biggest clue is the word ‘o’ in “o Edifìcio”. ‘O’ is the masculine form of “the” in Portuguese, so you should see it a lot (though maybe not so often on directional signs). Portuguese it’s “o/a”. In Italian: “il/la” and also “lo/l’”, Spanish: “el/la”. French is “le/la/l’”.
If it looks romance and you see a bare ‘o’ in a context where it could be “the”, always go Portuguese.
Spanish word that are gene in or mescaline end with o/a
Unless you’re somehow getting a rare text in Galician which will suddenly put you in Spain…
it's also helpful to note that you can see "o" and "e" in spanish used as "or" and "and" respectively ("e" is only used in spanish when then next word starts with "i" because it replaces "y," meaning "and," and prevents the same vowel from occurring consecutively). i know you didn't mention "e," but it could be helpful to know :)
im surprised that one of the best geoguessr players doesn't know the basic differences between portuguese and spanish, which would give such a huge advantage. oh well
@@GeoCrusader it's extremely rare to see written galician, though. it's a dieing language and the official language in galicia is still spanish. i mean, it's not like it's like catalan in barcelona written all over the place.
So presumably that was Gustav Mahler's own piano. A nice piece of musical history.
I really love Mahler.I want to visit there
fun fact in the latest rainbolt indoor video, he got exactly that german museum with engines or whatever it is, that came up 1st for you
Rainbolt restarts his seeds so he looks good 😉 Nah just kidding
I guessed they were printing presses which led me to guess Germany (where they were invented).
8:53 EMP Is a museum in Seattle, now called the Museum of Pop Culture. It used to be called the Experience Music Project. This looks like the monorail stop at Seattle Center.
as a kraken season ticket holder recognized it in like 1 millisecond
you getting istanbul right after wrongly guessing istanbul and london after wrongly guessing london is pure cinema
Oh Oscar, Oscar... The article "O" is always Portuguese. Spanish, Italian, French & Co never have that.
2:25 bakanlığı means "ministry of" so it says T.C. (Republic of Turkey) ministry of culture and tourism
I love how bro just randomly knows peru president's descent
17:01 Saal means hall or room and here it is hall 13
13? du meinst 18 oder
Not to be confused with Saale/Halle!
👍
@Adrian-3 ja ich habe das X übersehen
1:41 "museums are not too bad"
Rainbolt playing it on NMPZ: Am I a joke to you?
No EMP access 10:27 is in reference to a popular museum/buidling nearby the monorail called EMP (Experience Music Project) now known as Museum of Pop Culture which locals still call EMP. v
Thanks for explaining, my guess was going to be "No Employee Access".
@@tejsandhu yeah i thought so originally but it didnt really sense to me so i did some research
I was literally at that loc this morning, wild to see it then immediately pop up here.
My immediate thought was Emergency Medical Personnel but having a special sign to keep them out would be pretty awful 😂
Glad your answer makes more sense
5:50 this is an exact place that Rainbolt got wow
10:29 the EMP is the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle. The monorail goes right through it to get to that station
11:38 in italian we don’t write accents on letters unless they’re at the end of the word (example: cittá, comunità, municipalità..)
Sapevo di non essere l'unico italiano su questo canale ahah
Excellent insight. Thank you for that 😊
7:00 Secret racial profiling technique is crazy
5:55 rainbolt repeat
😂 immediately
he even said "this yellow plate looked german", which is exactly how rainbolt guessed it lol
'O' or 'A' in portuguese is 'El' or 'La' in spanish which means 'the' (male and female).
I feel like it is a good thing to remember to distinguish both easily because those are words you will often encounter
Indoor world always delivering. Fun to see your POV. I wonder the % of museums are included on the whole. Seems like at least one will pop up at least every round.
Zigzag is on the grind. Glad to see you grow ❤
Im BAD at geogesser and even worse "indoors", but when i saw "museum of broke relationships" my mind scream it a LA.
Actually, this museum is originally in Zagreb, though the collection has toured the world. The concept is quite interesting, I recommend visiting or at least taking a look online. The LA branch has closed since this photosphere was taken.
Saal just means 'hall' in german, so those were the different exhibition halls of the museum.
Chipping Norton is where clarksons farm is
getting less than 2000kms from a cave is insane
"Some art gallery somewhere" -- that was the Guggenheim
I was gonna say that too.
6:23 As someone from near Dortmund I immediately recognized this picture. It is from a museum called DASA (Deutsche ArbeitsSchutzAusstellung) and it's an exhibition where you can see a lot of things about industrial safety and worker protection from the beginning of the industrial revolution until today (the area around Dortmund has a very significant history with coal mining and steel production)
Every kid from here will eventually go there at least once as a school trip
definitely keep doing this! enjoyed it a lot
Turkish here to clarify what "Bakanlığı" means 2:18 :
Bakanlığı is "Ministery of" and here is some more useful information if you'd like:
T. C. stands for "Türkiye Cumhuriyeti" (Cumhuriyeti means "Republic of")
Kültür ve Turizm are simply mean "Culture and Tourisim".
So what you saw there written was a logo of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey.
Btw I love your content. Your Turkish spelling is generally really good. Fyı "ğ" is always silent, never a "g" sound, and "ı" is to be read as a narrow "a" not "e". Your English is also the best one I have encountered on TH-cam.
14:36 the billiards table without pockets would rule out UK 100%. Billiard without pocket, called "carom billiards" nowadays, was the first billiard type played, invented by the French. Those kind of game/table didn't make it to the UK historically. I would assume it is coming here to Sweden through the Bernadotte family connection, but this pure assumption at this point!
awesome video and the idea itself is so fun haha!! i have a small cool trick... you can distinguish portuguese and spanish, among other things, by their articles (as in "the", "a"). portuguese has this "o" which is like the singular "the", while in spanish the analogue would be "el". those are the two masculine "the"s of the languages. the feminine singular "the"s are "a" and "la" for portuguese and spanish respectively. i feel like in general learning romance languages' articles is of great help for distinguishing between them 👀
love the indoor guessing. makes you think outside the box
7:12 That green "running out the door" exit sign is rare in the US in my experience. The most common sign says "EXIT" in red text, although newer signs use green text instead.
Yeah USA doesnt seem to like universal iconography, they prefer English language to confuse foreigners.
@@Gomisan just like how on their cars it has English words on the interior buttons instead of symbols like everyone else
4:26, I knew it 🤣. from the get-go, i had a vibe it will be mulu haha

11:20 - Couldn't be more Portuguese and given the context it could only be Brazil
The funny thing is, in Spanish the word "edificio" as you might see, doesn't have the tilde.
Spanish articles = el/la
Portuguese articles = o/a
"Saal" is just "hall" in German. And your pronunciation of Göttingen was perfect! It's half an hour from where I live...
''Saal'' from 16:25 means room or hall in German (thanks Google translate). So, probably, it's meant to mark in which hall of the museum you are (in this case Hall No. 18)
Absolutely loving the recent content Mr Zig and Zag
13:45 it had to be Brazil or Portugal because "o edificio," "the building." Only Portuguese uses 'o' and 'a' (masc. and fem.) for the definite article. Your analysis on the immigration then makes it obvious that it's Brazil
bro guessed singapore from the t-shirt print... GOATed
But missed the exact location. It was marked on T-shirt as well
Didn’t nail the pronunciation of Changi though. I assume he has been to the airport a few times.
We need to see you do this again! I love the fact you have to use whatever clues the building offers albeit minimal sometimes but it's a lot of fun to watch!
Indoors is fun, and a real challenge. Would love to see more!
The lobby in that last round absolutely screams "large space in which to corral groups of schoolchildren".
11:34 if there's an accent in the middle of the word you can rule out italian 99.99% of the times, we only write the accent if it's at the end of the word (unless it's a word that has 2 meanings but it is pronounced differently to distinguish between the two)
One thing that may help while trying to distinguishing portuguese from spanish are the articles. In portuguese the definite articles have with one letter ('o' and 'a'), while in spanish (and most latin originated languages) they have two ('el' and 'la'). For the second São Paulo location this would've been remarkably helpful because of the sing that said 'O edifício'.
ah yes favorite time of the day lay down and zigzag video 🎉
OMG, Seattle native here instantly recognized the Seattle center monorail station that connects to Westlake . I use it like twice a week to go to Seattle Kraken games as a season ticket holder. EMP is old was experienced music project in Seattle (the station is literally right next to the Space needle, so if you could of turned even a little bit, lol)
The museum of broken relationships actually originated in Zagreb in Croatia! Completely worth the visit if you ever get the chance :)
11:10 Fun fact: I was in Singapore last year for the first time for work (i'm european) and I instantly also would've gone for Singapore because I could've swore I actually went there to eat once.
I did not actually eat there in the end, but it was a super similar place lmao
The funnest GG content fr
Fun fact about portuguese and spanish: "O edifício" is clearly portuguese because the "O" infront is the article which is "El" in Spanish. So basically if you see "O/A" in front of a word it's definetely Portuguese, if you see "El/La" it's Spanish.
I would like to see you try TimeGuessr!
9:56 guys , i need your thoughts what you think about it. I didn say that peoples clothes are same everywhere, but in my multimillions people place i can meet all kind of fashioned jerks in same place but zigzag is so woundering about it.looks strange for me. Is it because he is feom small town and im not or its something wrong with me and theese clothing clue is a real thing
Monorail Man is probably in reference to Seattle's active, working, Monorail system.
The image was underneath a monorail station and the EMP sign was that the monorail does not provide access to the EMP.
11:36 the graphic accent in Italian can only be on the last vowel. Eg città, virtù, caffè
0:19 the very first 1 is the Siriraj Medical Museum in Bangkok (I just went there last month). Not sure how this photo is taken as this area is not accessible.
Highly recommend this museum which is next to a hospital. It has many medical related death stuff.
Crazy how this channel went from like 40k views per video to 100k+ in 1 month. Congrats!
2:41 bakanlığı means ministry 😂😅 it said republic of turkiye (abbreviated as TC.) culture and tourism ministry on it. but so spot on with the language guess! the letter “ğ” is indeed unique to turkish. love from turkiye 🇹🇷
2:16 lets goo irl repeat. I've immediately recognized it i was there just this summer
Irl repeat is a hilarious way to put that
@@nefertitimontoya lmao
11:05 the guy had a location pin on a map on his shirt. Would have been a better guess.
Por Oscar 7:03 decided to use racial profile in one of the most mixed countries in the world. I immediatly guessed correctly that one, but I literally have been there, so its was kind of easy.
And for future reference the differences in characters of Spanish and Portuguese:
Both uses á, é, í, ó and ú
Only Portuguese use â, ê, î, ô, ã, õ and ç
Only Spanish use ñ and y
And: Only Spanish uses ü
2:38 even I didn't guessed it right as an Antalian while visiting the museum 4 times...
found you from jack!!!! btw your channel is so fun to watch! keep it up!
6:00 just again: literally my hometown
14:33 you got unlucky with the Portuguese, most of those words are direct cognates to Spanish so don’t feel bad about not being able to differentiate
What are the odds. I just watched your indoor video from 4 years ago and now youve uploaded a new one. And I'm currently just searching for videos of Geoguessr players doing indoor maps.
16:33 Gustav Mahler, the king of symphonies, one of the greatest romantic composers the world has ever seen
Zi8gzag is so cracked that he could guess a country by looking at the national cuisine
i feel sorry for you
as a Texan hearing you say that plate was "rare" was kinda crazy to me. I think the Texas plate with the cowboy is the one I see the most outside of the plain white one.
4:40 my mind was shouting Los Angeles the entire time! But I mean the Texas plate was confusing so I understand your guess
At least he didn't go into Laos
I was thinking Louisiana the whole time lol
@@visualizers.lyrics it is a pretty well known fact that some website provider in Los Angeles paid up to Laos to use .la domains
Rainbolt got that Germany round a day or two ago at 5:52
How you guess this when you are literally inside a building will never fail to amaze me 😂
For the Singapore round, I was trying to think what those markets were called and hawker centres came to mind a split second before the map zoomed in.
I have a question Oscar. Do you plan on making the Jack collabs a regular feature? Like weekly or something? They're highly enjoyable btw
btw the exit sign in the round at 8:05 isn't an american one, we just have one that says EXIT without any picture
is crazy how i started watching u when u had 60k subs kind of why i started playing geogussr
6:35 bro didnt watch the rainbolt daily
That cave reminded me of the hunger games where Kantiss and peeta hides when hes hurt. I wonder if this is the same place. 🤔
I was in this cave 15 years ago. Recognized the view in less than a sec. It is either deer cave, wind cave or clearwater cave in Gunung Mulu Nationalpark, one of Borneos Top Attractions. I was in deer cave, the other I do not recall the name. So either wind or clearwater was the 2nd.
I doubt that this location was used for a film, as it takes you multiple flights to access the park. And then at least a 1h walk from the airport through the jungle to the 3 caves. It is also very smelly and dirty, thousands of bats are living there. The floor is a layer of bat poop.
I think Zaal would be like room, so like 16:40 would be room 18 of the museum
oh sweet, i kind of was hoping to see this one day ever since i seen a couple videos where your opponent accidently chose from indoor spots for you to guess location of and was thinking that would be a fun game to do all indoors.
16:42 Saal means hall or room. Like in a concert for example
16:30 You pronounced Spätromantik and Göttingen very well.
The Last one, the Guggenheim, has classic, famous and recognizable architecture
Do caves count as “indoor”? They literally have no doors 🚪
The Spanish word for "and" is "y". In Portuguese it's "e". That could be a quick helpful thing to look for. If you see an "e" on its own, Portuguese; if you see a "y" on its own, Spanish.
pro tip the EXIT sign is different in the US than everywhere else
US uses the word EXIT while everyone else has the green man
2:16 Bakanlık/lığı means ministry in Turkish. So, it's the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
6:40 can confirm this museum looks german 😂
.la is Laos, I never considered Los Angeles would use it too.
i imagine they bought a lao domain, i have heard before that any .tv domains have to buy it from tuvalu. i could be totally wrong here and i havent fact checked the tuvalu thing but i dont think its out of the question that they just bought it for aesthetic reasons
the fact you can see Jundiaí with the 'i thing' just north of São Paulo at 14:02 just as you were saying you couldn't find it 😭
5:52 that looks so familiar i swear ive seen it before in a rainbolt vid
yeah it is in one of his latest vids
I have guessed the cave instantly, been there. Gunung Mulu. One of Borneos Top10 attractions. So people having been to Borneo likely know this cave.
You will never forget the disgusting smell of the 100000s bats and their feces, that was the first thing I rembered when seeing the picture.
14:53 a pocketless billiards with those kind of balls and cue feels Belgian to me... Let's unpause and see 😂
Edit: nope 😂
Its funny to me how insanely cracked you are at geoguessr but still don't know the difference between spanish and portuguese hahaha
6:22 rainbolt had the same round like a day ago lol
Is the guggenhiem not that well known?
I like this format although i really liked the format where you were giving 4 images and 3 was from one country and one from diffrent and geoguessr pros had to guess what is an impostor and what country. I missed that soooo much 😢
