- A compilation of footage of the 15 inch gauge railway at Longleat Safari Park featuring both Steam and Diesel locos, Longleat Safari Park call it the 'Jungle Express'
Longleat Safari Park & Old Stately Home are near a place called Warminster, in the county of Wiltshire in the uk, it's approx 100 miles west of London
For more info on the railway I recommend the unofficial site www.longleat-railway.com
I created this video with the TH-cam Video Editor ( / editor )
Sloppy operating practices, jumping off engines in motion, kicking turntable lock are asking for trouble
Nice narrow gauge steam railroad!
Looks like a lot of fun for the small and the big children!
The coaches are cool with the luggage on the rooves. That's a nice touch.

I was going through your videos and I came across this one which is a fave of mine. You did a great job on this vid. By the way, do you know the name of the train driver that comes our at the beginning and is wearing the blue top? I have seen him in a few other videos. He seems to be a pro.
was busy when we visited in October 2012,but was good to have steam and crew did speak were friendly ;o) and we enjoyed the trip
Have to agree, not many other places spring to mind. Whipsnade Zoo is another place with a decent steam railway. Also nice at Longleat that you can see the engine shed and they have made a feature of it
Hi, thanks for that - didn't know about that site (have added it to description). Good info & pictures of the stock they have had over the years
Wonderful.
Oh, It's hideous! Not the video, done good job.
But from what the LR used to look like, it's soooo gaudy now! Looks like every other themepark/zoo line. And I see they've completely removed the nameplates now. Shows how much Longleat care for their former slaves... I mean employees!
yeah, have you seen the unofficial website of it? It's is by a worker of it, it's quite informative (is that a word)?
nice to see a railway in a place like this that is actually using steam, rather than steam outline diesels.
Mike Hanson yes I agree. Really bad to see a proper steam engine used in this way.
The baggage on top of the cars; is that actual baggage, or dummy props?
Real Fun for family. So nice.
Just Dummy Props.
Super je
