When she said she's got a couple lives left I immediately assumed that it was nightsister magic that perhaps saved her. I think that would be a great canon way of explaining it rationally.
Yep this makes the most sense to explain it and keep Dark Disciple canon. Although, I wonder how long she has been back, and has she reconnected with Quinlan Vos?
I was thinking the same since she is one of the last and probably the strongest the spirits of the night sisters use their magic too keep her alive but she knows that there is a limit

Based on the clues from the beginning of the season, I figured Omega wasn't force sensitive but that she happened to be the only clone to successfully transfer the same M-Count from donor to clone without degradation. I never got the implication that they were trying to amplify the M-Count. Meaning that she was only as Force sensitive as Jango Fett was. This having the obvious goal of furthering the process of cloning Palpatine to the fullest potential. Force Sensitive Omega is wholy unnecessary, and I hate that they're going this route. They literally had a chance to save it when Ventress said she didn't have a high M-Count. But then they had to go establish that she's lying about that 🙄

It is very sad that all the Clone Wars episodes that never were, are now being retconned and replaced. The original stories would have been better in my opinion, if they were fully animated and the clone wars was allowed to reach it's natural conclusion. Ventress and Quinlan Voss were meant to fall in love, try to assassinate Dooku and do many other things. Quinlan even fell to the dark side and Dooku ends up killing Assaj, but Quinlan returns to the light after seeing what his actions have lead to. Quinlan Voss even temporarily was an apprentice of Count Dooku. Also we would have seen bounty hunters like Embo and Bossk go after Dooku and of course Dooku wrecked them all, but that scene was awesome.
The ‘I have a couple of lives left’ quote at the end was very Catwoman, the one issue I had with this episode was Omega not believing Ventress was a force user, even though she literally had Wrecker in a choke hold.
Nah, it was average. SWT always rates anything with lightsabers and force powers in it highly, but ignores the genuinely great story telling of other episodes that progress the formation of the Rebellion and Crosshairs ongoing struggle for redemption and dealing with his past as "filler". There are at least a half dozen episodes that are far better than this.
Awesome Video!!! OMG THIS EPISODE WAS AMAZING!!!!!! It was So Great to see Ventress again!!! She's such a Great Character and Definitely one of The Best Female Force Users! I know people are mad about about Her Being Alive, But when She Said "I still have a few lives left" It Made Me Believe that it was Nightsister Magick that Saved Her, So I think that's a Great way of staying True to The Book, And Bringing Back Such an Awesome Character that Everyone Loves! And it was So Cool to see Her Train Omega! I LOVE THIS SHOW SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!! I'M SOOOOOO EXCITED FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON!!!!!!
Seems like a lot of people knew Ventress was going to be in this series, but I didn't know....was pleasantly surprised to see her...Hunter, Wrecker, and Cross didn't stand a chance against her...she is a former jedi, a sith lordess, a night sister, and a bounty hunter...she has otherworldly fighting skills from 4 different platforms...
This is easily the best episode of the season so far. The writing and directing were just so much better in this episode. Wrecker managed to make me laugh for I think the first time ever, when Omega asks why Ventress didn't kill them when she had the chance, and he responds "We were just getting warmed up"
Nah, it was average. SWT always rates anything with lightsabers and force powers in it highly, but ignores the genuinely great story telling of other episodes that progress the formation of the Rebellion and Crosshairs ongoing struggle for redemption and dealing with his past as "filler".
Straight resurrection is supposed to be a holy grail that SW characters are NEVER meant to achieve. Nightsisters wiped out, who cares, just chuck em in the pool. There doesn’t even seem to be a price paid or a change to her psychologically. One vague throwaway line that Bad Batch don’t even understand delivered while walking away is not “honouring dark disciple”. I couldn’t pick a more perfect example of ignoring and negating a book so completely . I liked the episode and love Asaaj, but I’m firmly in the “should’ve stayed dead, straight resurrection should not be possible” camp. Zombies aren’t the same
I’m of course making up my own ideas here but maybe she can resurrect but the cost is never being able to become a force ghost or some spiritual cost later down the line. Idk but could be something not revealed yet. Also could just be true retcon and no consequences 😂
Hate to nitpick, but Omega's blood is able to withstand Midichlorian rich blood being mixed with it. That's it. That's a sample of her blood being mixed with a sample of Palpatine's for confirmation. I believe Omega couldn't possibly be Force sensitive unless she gets transfused with high M-count blood. Raising her M-count would be the first step to "creating" a Force sensitive Clone. And also, that is not the message I got from Asajj. Whereas, in the past, the Jedi just came and took Force sensitive babies, Omega's only attributes are her pure heart and her ability to communicate with animals. Her electing to be trained would have to be just that, a choice. Asajj knows that anything is possible, but that certain things aren't achievable unless they go through the proper protocols.
But in Taoism from where Lucas got many of his ideas---it is the pure mind-heart (xin--means both in Chinese) that allows one to have powers and be "in-tune" with the Tao (the Force...).
Seriously thought this was one of the weaker episodes this season - no additions to the best story line of the series, which is Crosshairs redemption & dealing with his PTSD arc - but I guess your average SW fan is "Mehy light sabre - mehy forces! Mehy kewl!" so "BEST EPISODE EVAHHH!" for that I guess? Man, Juvenal was right - bread and circuses is all you need to entertain the average punter. Still loving Bad Batch, but not this episode, it was average at best.
@@Beer_Dad1975 As great as that storyline is, it's very much a side story. The main story is whatever is going on with Omega's blood, which did have additions. This show probably wouldn't happen without her. The Batch likely would have just given in to the Empire and had no reason to continue the story without rallying around her.
@@SpiderboyN2Jesus Yup agree with all of that - and Omega's experiences in Mount Tantis were excellently written plot progression. This episode didn't tell us the viewer anything we didn't already know, and the protagonists also learned almost nothing from it. It was a filler episode with the (now to me extremely irritating because it's become a cliche) return of a fan-fave character from the dead. Not only that but it also made the previous episode into filler and fan service as now they are at another dead end. I mean, I still enjoyed it, but it just wasn't up to the quality and story progression we've had in most episodes this season, and I can't understand why anyone would think it is "the best episode so far"
@@Beer_Dad1975 if that's what you think, then you don't agree with me at all. Sure we don't have any *definitive* answers, but depending how you take Ventress' assessment of Omega and what she tells Hunter and Crosshair afterwards, you *do* get a definitive answer 🤷🏻♂️ (which is clearly how Star Wars Theory took it; I'm still on the fence, but still). It doesn't matter. I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with having *very* obvious character develop in every single episode. If it's fun it's fun. The end. I don't see why anything else matters. Seems lovely critical just for the sake of being critical, imo.
Sure dude, the episode that barely moved the plot forward and can’t even justify the inclusion of its feature cameo felt like Star Wars because it had the force and lightsabers
I feel like this episode was more foreshadowing than anything. Because Ventress didn’t really test her “M-Count” only her use of the Force which is understandable. Also understandable that Omega would fail. But Ventress did tease the Bad Batch at the thought of letting Omega go. She probably sensed at their protectiveness and opted to leave the choice to them. I feel that’s why she lied. She probably respect Hunter and Crosshair’s willingness to protect her because all she has ever experienced was betrayal and feeling unworthy with her Master and Mother. Basically telling them “This is not my choice. But understand the dangers involved.” I feel like Hunter will come around. Crosshairs might disagree, but his redemption is so he might come around too. (Plot wise)
I think we’re going to see the Bad Batch meet their end on Anaxes. I think it’d make sense because we were first introduced to the Bad Batch there in Clone Wars; in Rebels, the planet is almost completely destroyed.
I loved the Dark Disciple book, however i must admit i wasnt mad she returned when Vos and Obiwan buried her they put her in a pond on Dothomir which coumdve revived her plus her body was put in Stasis before burial so i wouldnt hate her return using that explanation
Man what this episode was really missing was a character going “somehow Asajj Ventress returned” to really explain how she was able to come back without breaking cannon.
I've always liked Ventress she has always been quite misunderstood seeing her with such control fighting the 3 clones, shows how much she has really grown.
You’ve done good with no spoilers on your reviews, wish I would not have gotten spoiled by this thumbnail and the thumbnail and title of your latest video. I know not many care about Bad Batch but I am still enjoying the show.
Agree, this episode felt like OG Star Wars. Love Ventress, feel as though she stole the show in season 7 as she did this episode. The Bad Batch became the BadAss Batch around her and loved the ending. I hope she comes back, maybe she will since she has contact with Fenik? Would like to see her and Fenik together.
She’s a night sister with access to knight sister magic which can revive the dead more than likely mother Talzan revived her. While on the other hand Phalpatine was thrown into the bottom of the Death Star while it blew up too as well that’s typical sequel script writing, these Disney spin off shows haven’t been perfect but are no where near as horrible as the sequels are.
@@kaykay9646 Yeah I'm not hating on it at all. I was sad to hear what happens to Ventress in a comic cause I've never read any comics in my life before & wanted her to survive. And I was sad about mother talzin too & all the nightsisters. I'm glad they're making a comeback with Merrin, Morgan Elzbeth & the other ones. And yes the Sequels are complete trash, everyone knows it. We need to spread the word a lot more about how bad they are.
Highly, highly unlikely, but if all these force users survive the time of the empire, and they some how try to rewrite the canon, I can definitely see Assaj and Quinlan taking a trip to the other galaxy, picking up Ahsoka and Sabine, bringing them back to the main galaxy, teaming up with the Rebels crew and the rest of the Alliance along with Luke to defeat Thrawn and that new imperial remnant, and after that, Luke starts a new Jedi Order with him, Ahsoka, Ezra, Quinlan, Assaj, Omega, Grogu, and have them go around the galaxy finding force sensitive beings, and unlike the previous order, give them the choice to undergo training. That would be my most ideal outcome for all of this. Again, highly unlikely, mostly a dream, but one can dream.
The animation in the fight between Asajj and the Bad Batch guys was super well done! And pretty satisfying as they were being annoying repeatedly saying 'I don't trust her' Omega said it best when she was like 'Well if she wanted to kill us she would have done it already'. Lol. Asajj had some cool lines, honestly I hope she comes back to train Omega more, maybe finally give her a lightsaber?
What a wonderful episode! If this is the kind of force writing we are going with at the moment, I think the Acolyte will be done in a good way. It's been a long since we had a force-lore episode that didn't feel like it was pushing anything further. This was just pure force at work.
I might have a theory on "Some how Ventress has returned!!!" At the end of Dark Disciple, Obi-Wan and Quinlan Vos brought Ventress body to the old Nightsister Cave Village on Dathomir and then put her body into the dark pools in the cave and then when the waters exepted her they turned green as the planet had clamed one other lost sisters back, and after when Obi-Wan and Quinlan had left, the glowing green waters had somhow revived her, like the lazerus pit in the Batman series that kept Ra's Al Ghul alive for 600 years!!!
It's so nice to see Asajj again😁She's extremely powerful, talented, she experiences everything, both sides. Her death in the book is poetic, pretty death. It would be cool to see her in Ahsoka. She and Asajj together again😊I like Asajj too😀See you in another video.May the Force be with you too always😀Have fantastic day too😁
She has been trained by her original master, Count dooku who was arguably one of the best duellists in the galaxy at that time. What highlighted her insane ability was when she took out wrecker, we have never seen him get pinned down like that in physical combat. I can’t lie I thought when she whacked crosshairs in the head he was gonna either have ur arm fixed or possibly have his chip re activated
I’m glad Ventress is finally getting the love she deserves, she’s been one of my favorite characters for so long and she’s been so slept on, sad that it had to get to the point where disneys characters are so bad they need to revive old ones but hey if they keep doing it good that’s fine
Would be insane to not do Asajj vs Vader and her recognizing it’s Anakin based off the amount of times they’ve fought. This time with the roles reversed 🤯
I feel like the only way this works, is if she didn’t actually die if you get what I mean. Like if it’s some night sister magic thing where it prevents her from dying rather than bringing her back from the dead.
I agree with your thoughts on Ventress. Her story is still unfinished, along with Quinlan Voss. She is a fascinating character, very much on the grey side of things
Star wars theory: what if much like kanan, asaj had a vision of omega witch is why she was able to find her, and why she warned the bad batch cause maybe she saw that the empire was close. Just a thought.
This was a great episode! When it comes to the beast control this was a really impressive scene however, it was vague whether or not it was ventress or omega.
Batcher, knows that Crosshair is going to betray the squad in the beginning, knows how to meditate and explaining it to crosshair a episode ago. But when omega was with Ventress she wasnt focussed anymore.
In a comic series (Obsession I think) Asaij appeared to doe, but actually went into a force healing trance until she could revive. Perhaps this is what happened with Dooku's lightning. Obi-Wan and Vos put her into stasis for 4 months before burying her in her home waters; which are magical and healing. 😉
I'm so glad that Asajj Ventress has returned. She is my favorite Star Wars character of this period of the saga. And I agree that this has become the real Star Wars. Asajj deserves a spin off movie or a series like Ahsoka.
When she said she's got a couple lives left I immediately assumed that it was nightsister magic that perhaps saved her. I think that would be a great canon way of explaining it rationally.
Or maybe she is a cat.

Well, she was in the trailer but if you didn't watch it, you might not know, however, I feel like it was being talked about a lot.
She was never a Sith
This is easily the best episode of the season so far. The writing and directing were just so much better in this episode. Wrecker managed to make me laugh for I think the first time ever, when Omega asks why Ventress didn't kill them when she had the chance, and he responds "We were just getting warmed up"
Nah, it was average. SWT always rates anything with lightsabers and force powers in it highly, but ignores the genuinely great story telling of other episodes that progress the formation of the Rebellion and Crosshairs ongoing struggle for redemption and dealing with his past as "filler".
I mean I agree that it wasn’t amazing or anything, but compared to the other episodes this was leagues better
This episode was literally the worst of the season. The writing was just random and very rushed
Also could just be true retcon and no consequences 😂
womp womp, hardly anyone reads the books
I’m cool with it. Star Wars needs as many dope characters as it can get right now lol. Ventress is awesome for sure
SWT: “Omg guys, a lightsaber! Star Wars is back!”
Me: “They’ve got to try a little harder to get me excited.”
The Jedi Orders coming back in Rey Skywalkers new movie, fans are real excited about it.
Latest episode was a snoozer. Definitely felt like Disney Star Wars all right 😂
Sure dude, the episode that barely moved the plot forward and can’t even justify the inclusion of its feature cameo felt like Star Wars because it had the force and lightsabers
But understand the dangers involved.”
I feel like Hunter will come around. Crosshairs might disagree, but his redemption is so he might come around too. (Plot wise)
“I still can’t figure out what side your on”
“My own”
Hardest line dropped🔥🔥🔥
Hell they brought back Lord Sidious and Darth Maul.. so I'm not surprised she's back..
I think we’re going to see the Bad Batch meet their end on Anaxes. I think it’d make sense because we were first introduced to the Bad Batch there in Clone Wars; in Rebels, the planet is almost completely destroyed.
As long as Omega dies a particularly gruesome death, I'll be content with that.
@@Daniel-hm8xqlol what
@@waynewayne8419 I can't stand Omega.
@@Daniel-hm8xq then why are you watching the show and keeping up with recaps lol
@@waynewayne8419 I sort of enjoy the show for the lore building and such.
loved this episode. Anytime we see a lightsaber its always a plus!
I love how Theory changes his pronunciation or Omega from "Omeega" to "Omaygah" occasionally.
I’ve never been more hyped by a bad batch episode. This was so unexpected, but so good! We need the Asajj-Omega apprenticeship!!!
If you want to change, it’s never too late. Good stuff 👍
I loved the Dark Disciple book, however i must admit i wasnt mad she returned when Vos and Obiwan buried her they put her in a pond on Dothomir which coumdve revived her plus her body was put in Stasis before burial so i wouldnt hate her return using that explanation
It only feels like star wars to SWT when there are Jedi and Sith all the time.
The Dark Disciple literally says Ventress dead body got put into the same Nightsister pool she once reborn, as she told Vos.
This was a great episode and I am happy to see her.
One of my fav characters. She is one of the inspirations, which led me to start learning 3D so I can make my own version of this cool character.
There’s so much potential for a Star Wars what If series
Man what this episode was really missing was a character going “somehow Asajj Ventress returned” to really explain how she was able to come back without breaking cannon.
Love the videos. Can't wait for ypur vader project to be finished one day. You have my full support!!
I've always liked Ventress she has always been quite misunderstood seeing her with such control fighting the 3 clones, shows how much she has really grown.
This episode will helps Star Wars a lot for future story building. Awesome Episode and smart decisions were made (for once)!
SW Theory clearly only cares about jedi, force & lightsabers.
There's more to Star Wars than just that. Non-force users need to be cool too!

On the same topic of Force Attuned Reflexes. Baylan Skoll did the same thing to Sabine in Ahsoka.
You’ve done good with no spoilers on your reviews, wish I would not have gotten spoiled by this thumbnail and the thumbnail and title of your latest video. I know not many care about Bad Batch but I am still enjoying the show.
Dawg the Wing Chun stance had me GEEKING out!! 🔥🔥🔥
Starting to think that unknown clone operative maybe Cut, remember one of the clones thought he recognized Cut before he left
I'm fucking dying over the thumbnail 😂
"Somehow... Ventress returned."

Yeah I'm not hating on it at all.
@kaykay9646 Talzin died though during SoD
@@KingShibe isn’t son of dathameir after the dark disciple though

Ok but what is this god forsaken thumbnail
I liked the subtle green glow to the fauna she summoned. Dathomiri touches I believe.
Dude this thumbnail is too good!!!😂😂😂 clicked on it and it morphed perfectly with a chocolate Easter egg ad ☠️😂
Excited to feel that Star Wars feel again.
Feeling a little confused with Asaj but i can get used to her being back
Why are there so many creatures and beats in almost every episode
Bad writers. Mando S3 had them (giant beasts) too.
You know what, I don’t even care about the breakdown…the thumbnail is amazing 😂😂
Imagine if this story is leading to Starkiller...
No way.
Starkiller Base? I hope so.
Excellent episode and great review... Agreed on all counts
It's so nice to see Asajj again😁She's extremely powerful, talented, she experiences everything, both sides. Her death in the book is poetic, pretty death. It would be cool to see her in Ahsoka. She and Asajj together again😊I like Asajj too😀See you in another video.May the Force be with you too always😀Have fantastic day too😁
Dude if she becomes a regular in the finoliverse I'm all for it
She has been trained by her original master, Count dooku who was arguably one of the best duellists in the galaxy at that time.
So excited to have Ventress back!!! Hopefully they'll keep the Bad Batch story going through her.
Interesting to see how independent both of Dooku’s apprentices were.
Fun fact, the original name for Assaj ventress was going to be Juno Eclipse, but they changed it because it didn't sound dark enough.
It was a beautiful episode it brought me back to the golden age of star wars
I agree with your thoughts on Ventress. Her story is still unfinished, along with Quinlan Voss. She is a fascinating character, very much on the grey side of things
this episode is like when a starving kid sees someone chow down on a 5 star meal
Star wars theory: what if much like kanan, asaj had a vision of omega witch is why she was able to find her, and why she warned the bad batch cause maybe she saw that the empire was close. Just a thought.
Hmmm. Quinlan mentioned in Kenobi, Asaj is in this show. Seems interesting.
Great character arc can't wait to see where she ends up. Also excited to see her and omega maybe in a new show!?!?!
This was a great episode! When it comes to the beast control this was a really impressive scene however, it was vague whether or not it was ventress or omega.
The breakdowns this season have felt really half done and short…
I was waiting for your video to come through haha 😃😃😃
