I bought a mbt and it’s my favorite piece of gear . I totally agree on you not buying a tube tech and getting the warm . 4K for the mbt makes sense but not 4K for a cl1b
Can you do a shootout with the Pultec 500X versus the Stam and the audioscape? I would love to see how they compare and which one do you prefer and on what. I'm interested mainly on vocals.
I'm new to mixing, mastering and audio engineering, when you have one piece of analog gear (e.gmeq)and multiple tracks, to mix. I assume you run each track to the gear to get the desire mix or do you run the entire arrangement/song through eq or do you buy multiple Cains for each instrument? Sorry I don't know the correct terms. At this point I'm looking to build out my signal chain for a single keyboard and an Akai MPC X for beat making and sound creation. Also I'm going to watch Home Recording Made Easy to learn more.
I suggest maybe we book a 1 on1 Zoom call and I can advise you through this issues. It will ave you tons of time, money and frustration. www.homerecordingmadeeasy.com/all-training-courses
Nice Rack Dave, I am talking about your processing gear. Smiles. Through your videos I aquired 14 AudioScape units. I’ve mentioned this before. Going to be buying a few more in 2 or 3 months. I am at the end of September going to the bank to get my Trident 88-24. You got some gear there I want to get , thinks the Empress might be worth while getting. I was also thinking on getting the transformer by Neve but going to wait till I got a few months on my Trident, I might not need it. Don’t have a D’esser and thinks I will look into it. Always really enjoy your videos. To the point, truely professional way of soloing each piece you show case. Dave does it right. Anywho that’s for the rack review. D…
1) After some time do you like the Stam better than the Gainlab pultec on mix bus? 2) Have you tried the desser effect on the SSL 500 series dynamics and if so, better or worse the the other deseers you have? Thanks!
They are different. The Gainlab sounds more modern to me and is more flexible. I never tried the deesser on the SSL 500 DYN. I love my hardware de-essers.
Nice video. What happened to your 500 series Audioscape compressors V3A’s? Did you sell them? Looks like you like that Warm Audio compressor. Just as predicted more racks after you swore no more. It is hard to stop when you like gear. You got so much now. I am not sure how you can use all of it at one time.
a lot of this gear will be sold soon. I am narrowing in on which pieces I really need and what does not get used as much. I will be scaling down at one point
Great devices, no doubt about it. I miss some preamps like Neve 1073, API or Universal Audio. SSL mixer preamps are great but I like another colours specially for bass and vocals
You mentioned you already talked about the Galaxy interface, I'd love to see that video if its up somewhere! I'm really curious to know why you switched to this from the Presonus interfaces.
I have talked about it at least a few times during my LIVE streams. I guess at one point I can do a dedicated video on why I switched out the Presonus 4848's. I'll put it on the list
uncle Dave, have you ever tried JLM Audio? his Neves are better than Neves! as all his other gear is very good and fat sounding with his own transformers build in, you show us thing that are know to us. give them a try.
I do well but its hard from many years of extremely hard work and sacrifice which most people can achieve if they are willing to work hard. :) Thanks for watching

WOW!! Such a great selection of vintage and modern. Really love these videos!
Thank you Dave!
You're very welcome
It's so awesome to see how far you've come with the studio...keep the videos coming.
Thanks! Will do!

I'll put it on the list but not anytime soon. I have many more video coming before that. For vocals....I would suggest the AudioScape EQP

Hey man, thank you very much! I really appreciate it!
That set up is beautiful
Thank you! :)
Would like to hear more about the MBT, please
There will be a demo at one point.
It is smooth movement - noted.
Cool, thanks

Hi. If you have to choose one. Only one. Which one would be ?
One of what?
@@MixingMusicAnalog one of the studio gear.

It’s .... show (off) time!!!!
Thanks for watching
Great setup 2024 Dave. Congrats. But HEY, what about the BAE EQ73L you tried recently? Wouldn't you like to get a pair of them? 🤔
I was not a big fan of them
Great video. I want a video on the Galaxy 64.
Its a great unit. Expensive, but great!
Do you recommend getting the da3a or the distressor for electric guitars?
Both LOL

Awesome gear setup. Background music seemed a bit too loud, distracting from listening to you.
Sorry about that

Never tried them and have no plan too, unless they are going to send me some to try.
SPL Big gone?
Yes, after getting the Neve MBT...did not need it
Dude you must be making mega bux to afford all that
