What a stack! Excited to hear your thoughts on all those middle grade. Also I've never heard of The Deathless Girls and that COVER, what the heck. I'm swooning.
So excited for the spooky season! Your intro is just....... chef's kiss 😚 So excited for this month and all the fun to come!!! And FYI, I have been binging your Spookathon vlogs from last year to get in the spirit 👻💀🎃🤡 I bought Neverworld Wake and I am so stoked to see your going to read Night Film, it's amazing. I am planning on reading The Death of Mrs. Westaway and The Beautiful as well this month.
Stumbled upon your channel just recently, and I love it! I have not had a lot of knowledge of middle grade books and you have totally opened my eyes to great books. My oldest daughter is at the middle grade reading level, so I have been taking notes and putting together TBR's for us to read and discuss!! So excited to explore these books! 🎃🤍🍁
I say this all the time but I don’t care!!!! YOU HAVE THE BEST VIDEOS 🥰💕 I’m participating in the read a thon and I’m so excited about it...Thank you Lexi💕

THAT INTRO OMG 😮 You have a great TBR! I also love to read more spooky and cozy books during the fall season 🍂 I've heard great things about Night Film and a lot of other books on your list! I can't wait to see what you think about all of them.
Right now I am finishing up Nevermoor. After that I'll be reading Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda and Skyward. At the end of this month I'll be reading The Bone Crier's Moon to gear up for October. Spooky TBR for October: Ghost Squad, Middle Game, Gideon The Ninth, My Best Friend's Exorcism, and The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires for the week of Halloween. I'm very excited for this list and October can't come fast enough!
Loved your TBR! I am definitely in the spooky, gothic, haunted house, magic mood. I am going to be reading several gothic romances, Where Dreams Descend, Dead Voices by Katherine Arden, Spirit Hunters by Ellen Oh, and a bunch of mystery and fantasy books that have a paranormal/witchy vibe.
I loved Cinderella is Dead - hope you do too! I am planning to do the readathon but have only picked out one book so far (a really beautiful copy of Alice in Wonderland for the aesthetically pleasing prompt)
i loveeee night film and i hope you really enjoy it! another spooky carnival book is 'something wicked this way comes' by ray bradbury - i haven't read it yet but heard amazing things from so many people 🖤 hoping to participate in the ATW readathon too! i have 'the incorrigible children of ashton place' by maryrose wood out from my library and i always reread peter pan and AIW in september so i'm going to try and fit them into the prompts 🥰
Hey Lexi! I used to read a little bit of middle grade also heres some great middle grade books: 1: The Escape From Mr. Lemoncellos library books. I believe there's 4 of them. 2:Ban This Book. Its honestly like a retelling of 1984 but with 5th graders 3: The List by Patricia Forde. Kinda hard to explain this one. But trust me its great
WOW, just from the start, love that intro. I have been watching you for about 2 years now and you always have the best intros ever!! Especially during Fall time.
Happy Happy Belated Birthday, girlie!! (Sorry, going to watch your Bday wrap-up when I have a little more time)!! You are so gorgeous, inside and out! Ya-aaas, you make me feel so much better!! This is my fourth semester of grad school. I was SO stressed out this week, I got so little reading done with all of the homework--and group projects haven't even started yet! I saw Rebecca mentioned down thread Something Wicked This Way Comes! This is actually Ray Bradbury's centennial and you can go to his website, where authors (Neil Gaiman!!) and actors (Willaim Shatner, for one) are reading his works! I have SO MUCH planned for September between A Touch of Whimsy, Words & Whimsy Challenge, 3 Blondes & A Book, Let's Peanut Butter Taco Bout Books, and buddy reading...Hoping to finish my first book of the month, Ink & Sigil today! Have a FANTABULOUS weekend and Happy Reading!!
Hi Lexi I love your videos! I am reading The Silent Companions right now by Laura Purcell and I am absolutely loving it. If you’re into a Victorian mansion setting with a lot of creepy occurrences I highly recommend!!
Hello!! Super cute aesthetic btw! This spooky season I want to get to Mexican Gothic (it sounds amazing, also I'm latina, so love it!), I want to see if the movie Crimson Peak was inspired by a book and read it! And finish my Wicked book 😂😂
Also you should check out the Hocus Pokus & the all new sequel. It has the first story in it along with the sequel for it and it was amazing and brought in all the Halloween vibes.
Am currently reading "A Royal Pain" by Ellen Conford about a 16 year old who finds out she was switched at birth and is really a princess! Upon arrival to the palace she learns that she is promised in marriage to an awful guy. She doesn't want to marry him or accept her responsibilities as a princess, she just wants to go home and be a normal kid again...the book came out in the 1980s
In September I will read: The Wise and the Wicked - Rebecca Podos Coraline - Neil Gaiman The Binding - Bridget Collins The Saturday Night Ghost Club - Craig Davidson Goldeline - Jimmy Cajoleas Let the Right One In - John Ajvide Lindqvist Pumpkinheads - Rainbow Rowell ...and tonight I'm gonna start reading Hex - Thomas Olde Heuvelt! :)
I'll check out The Deathless Girls. I just read the author's newest book, The Mercies. It was a atmospheric page turner!!! (And based on a real event, which I didn't realize when I read it.) I'm not sure if Gaiman's anthology is YA, but anything by Gaiman is worth reading so, who cares, right!? I really enjoyed An Enchantment of Ravens and I'd encourage you to make it a priority because the fae prince in the story is actually the Autumn Prince, which makes it perfect for this season. I read it this summer but if I'd known, I would have saved it to read now. The fae lands in the story are quite scary in parts. I hope you like it too.
Night Film is a good book but the ending is pretty terrible just so you know that said you should read Neverworld Wake by Marisha Pessi it is so good. I am currently reading The Grace Year by Kim Liggett. After i finish that i will be reading some like spooky books since halloween is approaching.
I wont be reading a lot of spooky until Oct. The. I will be reading the kingdom of the wicked, the Whisper man, Anna dressed in blood, zombies dont cry, Sheets, and witchy.
Alexandra Roselyn yay! Disney actually made a film for it in 1983 (not sure if it’s on Disney plus, I ordered the DVD off amazon) but it has all the cozy vibes, in case you don’t have time to read the book. 🎃🍂🍁
This is random and not totally related but have you ever had a frozen hot chocolate?? Bc those are soooo good and your comment just reminded me of them.
I am so excited to participate in your guys read-a-thon! I have just finished my first book and am starting my second!
