Today's episode was SO funny. I don't know if we've laughed harder at a dub episode than this. Qi Rong was so good, Hualian even had some romantic moments. Xie Lian and Hua Cheng's voices are amazing and even Lang Qianqiu and Little guy had their moments! Thank you dub team for this amazing piece of work :D

I know we all go crazy over assertive, dominant, I'll-Kill-You-Where-You-Stand Hua Cheng, but Xie Lian having those moments where he puts his foot down and drops the sweet boy, soft spoken, well mannered prince are treasured moments too 😌

I absolutely live for Qi Rong's dub. Same reaction of it's just the perfect amout of genuine crazy and not over done. I agree of the just listening to it for hours.

One thing I'm looking forward to for the donghua is when that big flashback when XianLe is falling. Specifically the the one line when xie lian's guoshi says his future is filled with black, and xl says he only wears white 💀💀💀💀💀 we deserve more sassy xie Lian
6:14 - 6:26 Kictor taking a total of _ten seconds_ to restart her systems and laugh is EVERYTHING.
As much as I adore James Cheek and Howard Wang's performances (and I do! They both have great voices and are doing spectacularly!) Qi Rong's voice really is my favorite part of the dub! The dub really brings the character to life and shows off his personality and manner of speaking *SO* clearly in a way that (at least for me! other opinions are of course valid!) didn't fully come across from reading a subtitled translation. It's natural for some things, especially jokes and contextual wordplay, to get lost in translation, but I'm so glad we have a fantastic dub that exists that's able to give us a better idea of what I imagine it would be like to be able to pick up on the humor and other subtle contextual intricacies in the original dialogue. If I were to show my friend (who prefers subs and has watched tgcf subbed) one episode to convince her she needs to watch the dub too it would have to be one of these episodes with Qi Rong. Jordan Dash Cruz... fucking round of applause king, I could listen to your unhinged cackling all day
Everyone in the dub cast is SO fantastic! I absolutely love what Jordan's brought to the show - he's phenomenal as Qi Rong. As for the script, you can thank James Cheek for the insults and vulgarities, since he wrote it! 😊💖

I just love XL’s happy smile when QR is insinuating how much HC might be doing things for his benefit. It’s like it hasn’t really occurred to him - or maybe he’s glad to hear his interpretation of things confirmed by someone who has no idea he would be making XL feel good by saying so.

I am a Chinese person who loves TGCF (and MDZS), and I have watched the Chinese, Japanese and English dub versions (because I can understand all three languages), and I have watched all of your reactions to both the Chinese version and the English dub. For me, obviously, the Chinese original delivers the most accurate meaning/characters, but I can see how the English dub did a fantastic job of localising the lines and helping people relate more. I love your reactions and comments; please keep up the excellent work!

oh my goodness this has to be one of the best english dubs i’ve heard in my life. qi rong’s laugh is everything i am such a sucker for evil laughs and this is so good it’s asmr fr. hua cheng and xie lian and just everyone sound so good and are fantastic actors. it’s so well done not to even mention the dialogue.

I’m pretty sure that scene where xie lian slapped his evil cousin if you look at Hua Cheng’s face after it happens, just look at his face in the background and you’ll notice he’s making a face that’s says I wasn’t expecting that, but that was more satisfying than any punch I could throw that’s what his face said to me😂😂😅😅😂😂😅😅😊
