I do individualised landing pages for all my singles, with media releases, gorgeous photos etc. and send it out, but alas, the classical music industry is old skool and doesn't like singles, but rather prefers albums. So my releases get ignored - "tell us when your album is out"... ugh! Even our ARIA charts don't look at singles for classical releases, only albums. But I'll keep making them because they're so beautiful and I'm really proud to have such a classy centralised place for folks to go to in regards to the release.

Hey Dayton, the type of EPK I'm talking about is not meant for fans and are not public pages. You would email the link to a music supervisor and include the password. If you don't have sensitive information on your EPK then a password is not even required. Just keep the URL secret.

So, that means, it can not be hosted on my or her website as a secret link, since both of us should be able to use it. What format would you recommend for this? F.e. to upload a pdf to a dropbox seems kind of outdated to me ... Thank you L.
You should request admin or editor access to her website so that you CAN both edit and have access. If not, you can always pay for an EPK specific service which is basically buying another website specifically to your EPK-not entirely what I recommend when you already have a website you're paying for.

Hello, Happy New Year! I took a PR class online. It had said what a press kit is but didnt go into more info. It did say that you need a different press kit for the different people you send it out too. It didn't specify as you did such as making a main one and can make one just for a song. It didnt even use the term EPK just said send press kit via email etc. Was about 5 modules. Most of it is hands on. So I working with one artist now and he has a website. However, I told his manager the EPK should have more info on the artist and list the interviews he has done etc . . . I have watched a video last night and Page 1 was bio, page 2, pics and click to play songs, and page 3 was social media info, contact info etc . . Do you have a sample EPK you are willing to share and do a run down of it? Thanks

Great information but I think it would have been handy to have provided an example or a template.. I know it's best to be original but your video gives great tips and for someone who doesn't know what an EPK is they are now going to have to search google.
It’s a way to market yourself and launch whatever is on your EPK. For the normal user or listener, they just want your stuff and who you are. BUT you want to create some hype. How do you do that? You allow certain folks (bloggers, industry, etc.) early access to your account so they can talk about you and get the word out. It’s like video games or movies where critics write “greatest drama of the year” before it’s even released. Now, with your EPK, trusted people can review your things and help create hype with info that fans don’t really want/need.
Great vid, but the main idea we all need is just one link to one page with the basic info needed for everyone that’s user friendly on the other side. Meaning, band or solo artist now a days just want one page to get it all done , like an old web page from the early 2000s (those were the best) that started it all. Too too many sites and links and private passwords and downloading is killing the basic flow of what we really need. We don’t need to spend all our time chasing down and paying tons of money to web guys when we need to spend our time making music👍
I liked the concepts. But, there wasn't really very much hard information in the video. That means that you want me to buy some information from you. While that is a valid service, I don't have the time or money to take a few hundred courses online, when the money could be better invested in my actual product development.
Great motivational speech about EPK. But you didn't show any of the process of how to actually do it. Sorry but this is like titling a video "How to do pushups" and then talking all about the history of pushups, saying nobody is doing them, naming all the health and fitness benefits from the exercise but not showing how to even do a pushup. This is not exactly what people were expecting.
