That’s great to hear! Some have selective outrage over being in a public place and being filmed which is humorous. Then there’s the double standard where in real time there is no difference between someone who posts to social media with a YT channel and those idiots disturbing wildlife, making an ass out of themselves and they just do it for their own video library.

I’ve got my fingers crossed on this bill. It looks like there’s mostly great stuff in it. The idea that you need a permit to bring a GoPro into a national park and upload it on social media is ludicrous.

I found out about this dumb rule after I added a video on a tripadvisor review of Glacier National Park.
I had booked the Cobb House to stay in at Glacier NP. I went online to see what it looked like and the area around it. There was only a couple low quality ancient photos provided by the park service.
So while I was there I created a nice video tour around and inside the Cobb House and our room in the house. I felt i could help future people who might be considering staying there. I had no profit motive. But tripadvisor wouldn't allow the video because it broke the NP rules against videoing. That was when I realized why there was a dearth of information on the Cobb House.

It’s nice to have a no filming without a permit rule. Video uploaders should be satisfied with almost anywhere except National Parks. The new law would be great for selfish uploaders, it sucks for those who would rather not be included in the little videos that are churned out by people looking for an easy dollar.

Don't want to be filmed, don't go into public spaces.

@@grampafpv Are you actually following this thread or just firing off? The implication is that if you don't want to be filmed, you can't go out to the National Parks. Doh

Calls anyone who uploads "Selfish" while wanting everyone to respect his Privacy even though he is out in Public? Better yet says it's an "easy dollar". Go home, you don't have clue one.
