I will say this: I dropped my Nomad Rugged case more times than I could count. And it more or less has taken no real damage. If that had been my Bullstrap case it would have been torn to shreds. And there is the lifetime warranty but then I'd have to rework in all that patina. BUT - every time I take it off and put on my Bullstrap case, I can't help but notice how much nicer it feels. As good as the Nomad is (and it is really good) Bullstraps buttons and leather just feel premium. It's one of those instances where buyers need to think about what matters most to them, and then make their choice. Now that the review is done, I've found myself with my Bullstrap case on my phone more often than my Nomad.

Horween is famous for the shell cordovan (from horse skin) but also applies the same tanning process to calf skin.

Most of my cases have been darker brown, so sorry I don't really have a recommendation there. :(
