I think the artisanal nature of visvim warrants the high price tag because of the deep care and craftsmanship present in each garment or accessory. I’ve been buying second hand visvim from Japan for years now because I can’t afford the retail price and I’m always happy with my purchases.

@@aldoandre6600 yah man I use fromjapan as a proxy to bid and buy items from yahoo japan and rakuten japan. It’s a pretty easy setup process but you should have a PayPal account to make the transfer of funds to the proxy easier.
He named it after the band because the band was wearing mocassins in one of their music videos and I believe the guy from undercover told Nakamura to make shoes inspired from the mocassins in the music video.
I own a pair of the FBT Undefeateds that I forgot I had that I left at my parent’s house! At the time, I’m pretty sure I paid under $200 for them at a consignment shop and at the time they were slightly too small for me and so I just shelved them. When I found them again I had lost a lot of weight, I dusted them off, tried them on and they fit perfectly! Now I’m on the fence about selling them lol cuz I know I can easily get a grand for them. I’ve simplified my fashion sense these days, so we’ll see…

Its affordable but at the cost of the quality which leads to the buyer ending up buying more items in the future sadly. Overall theres pros and cons to fast fashion, but soon enough the question of ethics arrives
I’d be happy to answer any questions regarding Visvim. I have a small number of collection on their lower priced stuff and don’t mind sharing my experience with them. A lot of people talk about Visvim without owning anything from them and I think that’s not a healthy perspective.

I think anyone who is trying to get into Visvim at this point in time is too late, due to the fact that they hike their prices around 5-10% each year, it has gotten too expensive for many to afford. Quick tip is to look out on japan second hand market and auctions site to get Visvim, if you prefer your things new, the only suggestion is to wait for huge sale on shopping sites or get them through proxy in Japan, prices in Japan are 25%-30% cheaper than outside Japan, but they never do sale so if shopping sites have 50% sale or more it's worth it. As for the items, I think it's more than quality and the brand that you're paying to be honest, the garment industry includes a lot of waste and Visvim products are often handmade and optimized at a high standard, if you have a little knowledge of this industry you would understand the prices they are setting. I would not lie to you and say all their items are worth it because it's really not. They sell a pin badge for like 120USD and the resell went up to 250USD, that's just plain ridiculous to me. Aside from that, their garments, shoes and accessories are often worth the ask. While expensive, treat them as investment piece and buy things elevates and complement your wardrobe, they will age well with you. There's really no other brands like Visvim and I've never ran into another person who wears the same thing as I do. These are what comes to mind for now, if there's more anyone would like to know I'd be happy to share.

The materials do affect the comfort too, my deer leather fbt is super soft and comfortable while cow suede is sturdy and hard. I don’t recommend the canvas shoes unless you own other Visvim already. I plan to get the grizzly boot or Roland sneaker next, I would still recommend anyone to get a pair of fbt as their first Visvim shoes tho.

I don't think my 2008 pair has any cork. Not sure if my fbt prime pair has cork since I havent worn it enough. I 100% believe the shoes and bags are overpriced
Yes and no. I bought my balistic bag more than 5 years okay in tokyo for the equivalent of 600 euro’s it still looks brand new after heavy use. However, nowadays, the same bag costs 900+ euro’s. That is what I think Hiroki is doing wrong, raising the prices to much in a short time span. You cant justify a 300 eu+ price raise in 5 years
