I think the widely accpted theory, idk if this is accurate, any alphaz, welcome to correct me, is this music video, the lyrics and the visuals represent how the current music industry is. The "sacrifice" that you mentioned, was supposed to be simon-san (PD nim) and he tried leaping into the concept of global acceptance but ultimately fell short. Now as you can see, the members are dressed differently from the masses, signifying a distinction and diffference of not going with the flow, and not being a "puppet" to the machinations of the industry. In the end, you can see them taking the hopes and dreams of their predecessors and other like minded individuals into own hearts and headed for the dreaded leap, and they succeeded. Their platform after they've "transcended" signifying a platform for celebration, as well as a platform for the future.
Now in context of the Mini Album, GRL GVNG is to signify Arrival (? not sure lol), TGIF is Expansion (setting up a home base in the new planet they've landed in), New Dance is Exploration (of earth or the planet they've landed in.), and finally Puppet Show is a celebration (Parade) of their success in the new planet.
EDIT: I'm pretty sure i made some mistakes here and there, alphaz helpzz in correcting lol also on a personal note, i like how puppet show can also be interpreted as their journey in the industry, and the extras can be viewed as the trainees that they've met, and finally wasn't able to join them in their debut.

This video is just so unreal, you end up thinking that it is all CGI. Then when you watch the making of video, you see that the sets, the cast, the dance platform in the sky are real set pieces. Aerial wire work, for Juria and Cocona. Cocona looks like she's going for a world record long jump, perfect form. The individual leaping into the beam, sacrificing himself, his destruction releasing energy/power to the girls who can absorb it while the ice creatures cannot. That energy allows them to jump into the portal and ascend to the transport station at the top of the tower on the other side of the floating land. There can be an entire Sci-Fi storyline that can be written about this M/V. Kiel Tutin and Todd Williamson are the credited choreographers.
XG the flyest crew out there. The swag, the charisma, the raw talent is just next level. XG made the cover of Billboard Magazine's October issue and it literally sold out in one hour.
They are on the cover of the December issue of Japanese Vogue as well. I love the publicity they are getting, and it can only continue to elevate their visibility.
I love it when you pause. I love ACTAUL commentary on the video. whether its dance related, music related, video related, doesn't matter. I love that 1 thing gives you a whole string of thoughts you feel the need to share. I love that its not just "oh that's cool" it's more about a specific type of move, or how its executed, or wondering about thoughts they/the choreographer would have had to show a specific thing.
22:47 YES!!! I’m so glad you caught that move! So creative, using one of their ongoing hand symbols as a group and incorporating it to the lyrics and beat of the song the amount of creativity they incorporate is insane! So this piece was unfortunately not choreographed by Sienna, but still had some legendary choreographers in Kiel and Todd. But I do know that the girls have quite a bit of say when it comes to the choreography. They have such organic movements and formations, it’s consistently different every time that’s what I love about them as a dancer.
PUPPET SHOW is really up there with SHOOTING STAR and LEFT RIGHT. I wanna put it first because of its overall theme and meaning.
When I first heard the song I loved its initial message of the lyrics, it was like a “If I Were A Boy” by Beyoncé or “Like A Boy” by Ciara a very empowering song for women. Then the music video came out and I had an entire revelation. To me the music video was a visual representation of our Xtraordinary Girls breaking boundaries and making it to the top their way, and few weeks later pass and they come out and say that PUPPET SHOW to them is a celebration or a parade. As they should for their continuous success and phenomenal music.
There are so many interpretations to the song and that’s what’s amazing about XG they add so much room for many to relate to their music. XG stays blowing away every expectation I’ll ever have.

Also for Harvey’s and Jurin’s teeth I feel like the lyrics speak for itself along with the decision of using those teeth. But in Japanese culture there is a certain practice about women making their teeth black. But I don’t know what correlation it has but it’s definitely interesting. But it adds to the concept of them not conforming to societal norms and breaking boundaries.

There is indeed a lot of symbolism going on in this music video. All kudos to @exScythed who put this together first to my knowledge.
- First, take note that our girls start all separated and alone. They were lowered into Buddhist Hell by the thread of a spider (the starting scene with Chisa represents this). The figures you see in the very beginning are wearing traditional Buddhist headdresses. They are surrounded by spirits who are caught in a cycle of reincarnation that never ends. (In Buddhism the “spider’s thread” is a reference to how Buddha took the thread of a spider in Heaven and lowered it down to Hell so that a criminal can climb up from Hell to Paradise. Therefore the thread of a spider is a symbol of slight hope aka a silver lining and of fragility. In the story it’s stated that the thread descended through “many layers of sky and clouds.”)
- The XG girls look on sadly as many spirits attempt to reach Paradise and fail, exploding into nothingness (Chisa looking down from her perch represents this.)
- Even though the XG girls are hailed as goddesses by the other spirits (represented by the way the other spirits bow to them) they realize they still can’t reach Paradise alone aka achieve enlightenment.
- This changes when the XG girls find each other in death, realizing that their meeting was fate in order for them to reach Paradise together (they are tied together by the “red string of fate” and “hesonoo” is Japanese for umbilical chord.) This is represented four times in the video and twice in the chorus of the song; When Juria is running to help a spirit and meets Hinata there’s a close up of her eye where we see her having a vision of an explosion, when Harvey (who has black teeth which in Japan is a common practice amongst women because it represents a “woman with virtues”) meets Jurin, when the XG girls rap/dance together as a group with the drums, and when a wayward spirit’s failure to achieve enlightenment causes an explosion which knocks everyone down leaving only XG standing strong. There’s also a ton of fourth wall breaks showing that they’ve broken away from the circle the spirits are stuck walking in. They know the Truth aka achieved enlightenment and know you’re watching basically. Also, it is only in the later two choruses the girls adlib together. The first chorus, when they haven’t met in the video yet, has none.
- Before XG goes, they bless one of the spirits who is heavily implied to be pregnant with a girl (the moon is associated with womanhood ... please don't ask how a spirit in hell gets pregnant) and has earned the right to be reincarnated.
- The XG girls take a literal leap of faith together and successfully reach Paradise, symbolized by their new, white outfits.
The music video is tied to XG’s themes of female empowerment-women have two “x” chromosomes, the girls are “extraordinary,” they have the “x-factor,”they represent a better future for women which is connected to the idea that the next generation of children (children birthed by women who have “new DNA”) are the future hence the futurism stuff. I hope this helps anyone!

It seems you haven't given Maya the love she deserves in most of your XG videos.
Like whenever she does something or is center you don't really point it out much.
For an example, even when Cocona, Maya and Harvey have the back and forth rap part in this reaction you only say it's "Cocona and Harvey's" part.
And don't give wrong, you're not obligated to like her or comment on the cool things she does, but after watching all of your XG videos I noticed you don't give Maya enough credit about things she does the same or, sometimes, even better than the other girls.
And again, no hate whatsoever. Just something I noticed
