And all we have done in the 103 years since this was built is to make engines more inefficient, right up to the point that some gobshite thought EV was the way to go...I do despair.
I’m sure you know there are various way that the fuel efficiency of the internal combustion engines could be improved, the change to EVs is solely due to political lobbying and has no real benefits and several rather extreme downsides. Burning hydrocarbons directly is and always will be the most efficient and effective means of power for automobiles.
