To be honest, this is my first time hearing this song. When the middle part came in, I was not able to hold myself from crying. Cliché as may sound, but this song literally and accurately described my relationship with my boyfriend. For almost three years with each other, ngayon lang ako napagod. It was just this moment that I couldn’t even recognize myself. Lahat ginawa ko just to make this relationship work. But right now, nang marinig ko ang kanta, na-realize ko na hindi pala dapat isa lang ang lumalaban. Dalawa pala kayo. Kasi dalawa kayo sa relasyon eh. Nakakapagod din palang mag-isang lumalaban. Nakakapagod din palang paulit-ulit na masaktan. Maraming pumapasok na questions sa isipan ko. The way he is giving me a cold shoulder made me question my worth and myself. Ako ba ang dahilan kung bakit umabot sa puntong hindi na kami magkaintindihan? May pagkukulang ba ako? Bakit ba ito nangyari sa amin?
Grabe ang impact ng kantang ito sa akin. The way the artists sang the lyrics broke me. And just like a cascading falls, my tears fell down without a warning. Ngayon lang ulit ako naapektuhan sa isang kanta. There was also a rising artist that made me cry a lot too. Ayoko nalang i-disclose as a sign of respect sa artists ng “Bakit to Nangyari Sa’tin”.
