  • Italian colonialism in Africa lasted 61 years from 1882 to 1943. Italy would colonise Eritrea, Somalia and Libya. For five years (1936-1941), the European country occupied Ethiopia to form Italian East Africa. However, no African country has Italian as its official language. #HistoryVille

    Good one, good research...
Just to add, how come there over 35 movies on Hitler that killed 6 millions Jews and over 1300 movies on WW2 and No single movies of King Leopold ii of Belgium that killed 10 million Africans Congolese to be precise.
Is it part of shaming Africans not talk about Slavery and Colonialism?

The history of King Leopold in the Congo is well known, at least in the West - there's a famous book ""King Leopold's Ghost" that awakened the world to this horror. There are probably videos on TH-cam about it. Maybe this series will cover it in the future. You are right - it should be something that the world knows about. It's not a conspiracy of the West.
