What about when someone spills their guts to you and they notice that you don't do the same and they are upset about it. But the reason why you don't do the same is because you don't feel like being vulnerable with that person. Maybe it's just harder for you to open up to people or maybe it hard for you to open up to them 🤔

I learned this from experience! I thought they just felt comfortable with me, but looking back I realise how odd it is to spill your personal private life story to someone you are just getting to know. This was technically the first time we've talked. Then, I realised they did this with everyone and got their trust practically overnight.
I think you have to trust your gut and have discernment. People nowadays are nosey and will share your business with others. That's why I stay to myself and keep it moving 💯 privacy is key 🔑 you don't have to share every detail about your life, leave a little mystery. I don't mind sharing the basics about my life but not anything personal. I remember I confided to a old friend about a family issue and she told one of my family members cause she knew them. Not everyone is as open as others. People take it offensively when you are a very private person. But if I give the impression you can rely on me and trust me to feel comfortable enough to tell me details surely that’s good enough for you? You’re being supported. Wanting to know mine JUST because you shared yours seems more on the nosy side, especially if you know I’m a private person and share at my discretion. That’s who you made friends with and besides, no one is forcing anyone to open up but some people are just naturally better listeners than others. It actually helps to listen and focus on the persons issue rather than interrupting every time with your own stories, that’s even derailing. So yeah I think people need to assess their friends accurately and only share with people they trust, reliable people who they feel comfortable with and who has a track record of being a good and supportive friend. I’m more of a private person but what I share I be mindful to who and I accept any consequence if that person breaks my trust. Family plays a big part in this.
