ghhhhh i didn’t like how they killed off the boleyn/seymour overlap in Chicago and now they’re doing it on the West End?? i really liked how their parts and voices blended :(
I don’t like the new Seymour part. Other queens do Sing when it’s no part but Millie is in control during Seymour’s part and it just seems unfair. I love Boleyn but let Seymour have her turn
Juliette Benton I mean to say ‘Millie is in control’ makes it sound like it’s her doing and it’s because it’s Millie whereas they didn’t do that on the west end until after the tour started up and so it carried over
Seymour literally only has one line of solo now. But isn’t heart of stone the only solo that’s just her standing on stage singing without backup dancers and everything? So maybe they think she’s had her chance to shine (not that I agree)
Unpopular opinion:::::: i like the new seymour/boleyn part. I mean,, i thought it was kinda choppy but it grew on me bc i keep watching sixcago's megasixes lol. Sure it's kinda odd but also it ain't that bad¯\_(ヅ)_/¯
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. Cutting out her solo just makes the flow feel choppy for that one bit. It sounded just fine being overlapped with each out and Natalie and Millie sounded amazing together.
@@kermitchan7253 And Natalie sounds so amazing and Seymour's chorus part is so powering and impactful. It confuses me why they would want to cut out a beautiful part, especially this late in the game. It just doesn't make any sense performance wise, story wise, etc.
DearVeronicaSchuyler I love “don’t lose your head” as much as the next person, BUT why in the world would they change it just because Chicago did it? Why can’t West End stay the same and Chicago do this version?

i've heard a bunch of different things but i thought the chicago production cut out seymour's part because the actress' vices didn't mix well (and i've seen a video of it and they really don't) but i always thought millie and nat's voices went well together? needless to say i am SAD

personally I prefer the old version where Boleyn and Seymour sang together, but I feel like Seymour deserves more solo time so it might’ve been easier to just cut Boleyn’s overlap altogether instead of sacrificing Seymour :(
