Finally from an engineer's point of view. Someone w/ a credible background. Thank you!

I value your opinion and approach to this very much! You're absolutely spot on about the subject and thank you for putting this out there. Not sure why it's taken me until now to find it!
    All the best!

    I know it’s a 4 year old video, but that’s a nice looking vehicle. Good luck 🖖

You do realize that Defenders in the US are so expensive that are totally UN-affordable for many of us... :) I totally get your point and wholeheartedly agree with the premise but thought to let you know that the machine to which you are referring is a coveted piece around this part of the world. Please keep the good and sensibly reasoned videos coming. Thanks.

There's nothing rare or exotic about Defenders here and it's still possible to pick up a good one for less than $10,000 if you know where to look. Low mileage ex-military models are a good bet.
I think one can import them to the US if more than 25 years old - right? One could make a business doing that. In Portugal and Spain there are a lot of rust free (they don't use road salt) LHD examples around just waiting for new owners.
However you have so many Jeeps and other good 4x4 there that you don't need the hassle of importing.

@@defendermodsandtravels I have seen used with high mileage listed anywhere between $65k to $75k... I have seen them listed as high as $95k!!! It's cheaper to get a new vehicle!!! I agree on the Jeep. I have one and so far, I can't say I regret getting one. Capable vehicle--tho mechanically reliable, the bells and whistles added are the only thing that keep me going back to the dealer often! Unfortunately, no way to remove them... The mechanics are married to the technology...

@@Onward4x4 Dan Grec of the Road Chose Me has done very well with his jeep.
I am a great supporter of mechanically sumple, older vehicles whatever the marque.

The name doesn't matter now. They had a workshop in Rochester, Kent.
