  • This video we look at kmarts budget friendly 6 person instant tent.
6 month review coming up in another video.
    www.kmart.com....
at time of filming the tent is $119.
    kmart brand anko
    dimensions inside
    290cm wide 260cm long 165cm high
the tent has 2 doors on each end the outer doors double as an awning the tent comes with 2 awning poles and additional ropes can use poles to set up awning and rope to peg out to keep the awning up.
two windows one each side can be rolled up or using rope in pack can peg the bottom out to allow ventilation through windows.
each end has a zip at the base allowing power cord into tent.
pockets in tent in each corner to hold
    valuables.
In real world applications we use the tent with a double self inflating mattress for two adults and small camping mats for two kids having one kid at feet and other beside leaving small amount of room beside mattress to walk inside the tent.
Fitting a two people in the tent is more suited personal opinion.
Upcoming real world 6 month review to come.

165cm high? If you can't stand up in it, a dealbreaker for me. 2 months camping every year, now on year 4 of my Aldi tent at around same price as this. 2.2m high.

Has had good work out heat cold wind and rain.
Rain held up ok no leaks.
Heat lacked ventilation a bit but pegged ropes out more and was ok.
Was Into -3 cold over night 3 nights in a row kept heat in tent amazing the fine mesh did not let out all condensation so had a film of water inside the tent.
For the price point it does the job

How do you pack the bastard down

It’s pretty easy to break it down is the reverse of how goes up.
      Pack down directions.
Recommend zipping shut awning/doors and windows, undo ropes, unbuckle corners and pull sheet over the top.
When undoing main tent suggest leave pegs in the ground, push pins in middle of corner poles to allow it to slide down on its self do that to all 4 corners.
When the tent is all the way flat on the ground take out a peg at a time as move each corner into the centre of the tent that will help make it easier to pack away once all corners are in the middle of the tent place one half over the other then over again, roll the base up with legs inside and tie it off with fabric rope supplied as tight as possible rolling up to help get it back in the bag.
Poles and pegs have their own bags put them in tent bag place fly sheet in bag suggest fold it as tight as possible then place tent in bag All items go back in bag not as easy as coming out the first time will take some squishing to get it in to zip up.
      Hope that helps
