Ruska 2024 E18: Extremely Stupid Adventures 🤩🧸

Ruska 2024 ultracycling event is here, and this year's theme is the Olympic Fire. We started at sunset at 19:46 at Helsinki Olympic Stadium, navigating through few compulsory checkpoints on our self-designed highly secret routes towards Tromsø, Norway. Expected length of this event is some 2000+ km, and we have a total of 8 days, 5 hours and 14 minutes to complete the course.

It's a bit of a pity that I wasn't able to film the hardest (best?) parts of the trail, because I kinda had to prioritize e.g. staying alive 🙈🤷🏻‍♂😅

Yup they are. And zooming in, you can also see some of the duckboards (that TH-cam seems to translate to long trees etc) in the Google satellite images. But can you spot the next hut? That shouldn't be too hard either 🤗

@@PekkaTahkola I was wondering what the 'long trees' phrase meant.
Didn't see the second hut - I looked in a radius of what thought was 2 km or so, but no luck. I'll wait for more clues in the next video. 🙂
Beautiful scenery - the landscape and the light are very similar to parts of eastern Canada in the fall - warm sun, frigid lakes, and the smell of brown leaves and grass.

@@robadr13 Yupp. Also at 02:53 YT translates duckboards as pine trees for some reason, not just long trees. It's pitkospuut in Finnish, which literally would translate to longways/lengthwise wood. But yeah, you'll see the hut in next video and then it shouldn't be hard to find it on the map either. And yes it was really really beautiful. Just really worried about the weather forecasted to change to really bad soon 😅
