Good video, I'm needing to change the clutch on mine soon and have dreading the engine removal phase. Need to get myself one of those lifting beams with the scroll adjuster
Yup these do go into the head and this is the factory lift point too. I have seen the head bolt left rear and front alternator bolt hole used for the lift especially if you are doing a complete engine break down and rebuild and don't have some of the neat toys to use.

The universal truth of removing things from old vehicles; whatever you want to remove, there's something else in the way.
Trying this at the weekend. Complete novice never done any mechanics. This videos Bob on.

What about the Prop shaft? Doesn’t that need disconnecting?

yes it does 4 bolts at each end
I wouldn't lift it on the rocker cover bolts
Are those bolts on the rocker cover brackets threaded into the cylinder head, or is it only the rocker cover taking the engine weight ? Cheers

Used them before, seems scary, but it’s totally ok.
wow must be his 1st time..tilt the engine more .....on a nicely painted car..lift the rear of the car not to chip paint in the engine area
