It’s a while since I cycled and camped in winter but the short mileage likely to be covered is also true for backpacking. On the power bank issue, even in autumn, mine is happier when charging my iPhone if it’s inside my sleeping bag.
My personal experience: slow down and enjoy. Days are short and cold, keep warm, take a nice coffee at a café, enjoy a silent evening in your tent. In an hectic world, bikepacking in winter is the chance to calm down. I love it.

My tip would also apply to summer in the UK tbh but it is...bring a woolly hat! Sleep in it. You won't regret it!
