I think it's not really about a good or bad position, it's just an acceptance of what placement one is born with. One should learn, accept, understand and change the course of karma accordingly. That's where astrology helps and with correct guidance, one can benefit from even from the worst positions and placements. This has been my experience :)
My daughter got rahu at 1st, OMG.. She literally dominated my family, everyone has to follow her orders, obviously I became the main enemy, she forced my wife to seperated from due to small argument that I had with my wife, later she managed to kick me out of the family, so I stayed away from them, but later she also left my wife alone and moved out, so my two younger sons and wife lost me and my daughter both, she made a huge mess in my family.

My wife has got this placement and I understood that it came from her family upbringing. Despite she did not have good relationship with her father, she wanted to become like him and she loves her mother but hate her qualities (same analogy of Sun and Moon). I have rahu in 1st house Aries ascendent but I also don’t agree with few of the statements. I always loved my partner, was always concerned about him and his well being, but due to his toxic nature towards me drifted away the love I had for him resulting hardships in the relationship and breakup. Second, earlier I was not concerned about my health I used to eat alot of junk ate mindlessly and gained alot of weight. Now I eat mindfully and lost weight as well due to workout. Regarding the narcissist personality I don’t have it because my Jupiter is also aspecting my 1st house, I always admit wherever I am wrong because I believe in being humble and holding myself accountable towards my actions.

Feel like I should add my two cents just as to bring an unpopular viewpoint here. I have Rahu in my 1st in Libra in Swati in 3rd pada and Ketu in Aries in Bharani 1st pada. I can confidently say 90% of the videos by most astrologers on Rahu 1st and Ketu 7th house has proven almost totally incorrect and even opposite. Despite having Rahu alone in my ascendant Im a self chosen introvert who didn’t look himself in the mirror to adjust the superficial self till about the age of 21-22 and even a couple years later that’s not the first thing that I’m always very passionately concerned about. But thankfully there have been some astrologers here only who’ve gone deep than just reiterating the common perpetuated beliefs and I’ve been able to find some solace through that. This is not to demean or downgrade what you’re saying but just wanted to present a rare situation, thanks.

I try to listen and learn from different astrologers and often am able to detect when they differ among astrologers but don't want to be a teacher, preacher or leader. There are things you said just doesn't come close and few things do that are generic in human nature. I think the danger with astrology is - it needs to be 100% accurate without it misconceptualizes and turns it into a speculative commentary a theory which even a non-astrologer can unveil and yield at least 50 percent of the times. I have seen folks with Jupiter, Sun, no planet or Mars but no rahu behave with narcissistic traits and dictatorial including females young or old forget wisdom with age. Some have said Rahu in first house faced lot of back stabbing and cheating from others in past births and current one so nature encourages them to protect themselves. I have rahu in the 1st house and no other planet, gemini lagna, makar rashi. I've put on a lot of weight during Guru mahadasha in the past 10+ years. So I'm fat. I don't agree completely with the ego maniac part even though I can be very controlling and I'm trying to work on that including other inner work through therapy. I do not blame others for my actions, they are mine alone and I accept the consequences. Thankfully I'm happily married (will do everything to keep it that way). I say sorry when I'm wrong and have no qualms in doing so. I have a few close friends but otherwise I'm not very social by choice. I don't have sharp ears as I'm mostly engrossed in my own thoughts/work. But yes in social situations, I do feel often that people are talking about me as I can be very insecure. I spend a lot of time in self-analysis (so yes there is a lot of me, myself & I) as I find no other way forward to find mental equilibrium and inner peace. I liked your video. I too have Rahu in House 1. As per Lal Kitab, Rahu is ruled by Saraswathi. I am not sure if Rahu gives narcissism. Sun rules others. Rahu is cool darkness hidden from view.

Feel like I should add my two cents just as to bring an unpopular viewpoint here. I have Rahu in my 1st in Libra in Swati in 3rd pada and Ketu in Aries in Bharani 1st pada. I can confidently say 90% of the videos by most astrologers on Rahu 1st and Ketu 7th house has proven almost totally incorrect and even opposite. Despite having Rahu alone in my ascendant Im a self chosen introvert who didn’t look himself in the mirror to adjust the superficial self till about the age of 21-22 and even a couple years later that’s not the first thing that I’m always very passionately concerned about. But thankfully there have been some astrologers here only who’ve gone deep than just reiterating the common perpetuated beliefs and I’ve been able to find some solace through that. This is not to demean or downgrade what you’re saying but just wanted to present a rare situation, thanks.
Exceptions are always there. And one needs to look at the chart as a whole. However this easily fits 80 to 90% people. I have done my research. Thanks for sharing your experience all the same.

I try to listen and learn from different astrologers and often am able to detect when they differ among astrologers but don't want to be a teacher, preacher or leader. There are things you said just doesn't come close and few things do that are generic in human nature. I think the danger with astrology is - it needs to be 100% accurate without it misconceptualizes and turns it into a speculative commentary a theory which even a non-astrologer can unveil and yield at least 50 percent of the times. I have seen folks with Jupiter, Sun, no planet or Mars but no rahu behave with narcissistic traits and dictatorial including females young or old forget wisdom with age. Some have said Rahu in first house faced lot of back stabbing and cheating from others in past births and current one so nature encourages them to protect themselves. Many theories so I appreciate your efforts by adding some light to the topic and pursuing the path of honesty as an astrologer which is much needed for others to realize so thank you.

I have rahu in the 1st house and no other planet, gemini lagna, makar rashi. I've put on a lot of weight during Guru mahadasha in the past 10+ years. So I'm fat. I don't agree completely with the ego maniac part even though I can be very controlling and I'm trying to work on that including other inner work through therapy. I do not blame others for my actions, they are mine alone and I accept the consequences. Thankfully I'm happily married (will do everything to keep it that way). I say sorry when I'm wrong and have no qualms in doing so. I have a few close friends but otherwise I'm not very social by choice. I don't have sharp ears as I'm mostly engrossed in my own thoughts/work. But yes in social situations, I do feel often that people are talking about me as I can be very insecure. That is something I'm trying to work on as well especially not to assume what people think or jump to unnecessary conclusions. I spend a lot of time in self-analysis (so yes there is a lot of me, myself & I) as I find no other way forward to find mental equilibrium and inner peace.

Self obsessed and how it is so important to get the validation and try to attain the top position in any walk of life. Personally, I am very open to accepting my mistakes and first one to apologize as well. In fact mostly very guilty conscious as well. I have met some really nice people with rahu 1st. But never seen a single chart with ketu 7th and good married life. Even jupiter ketu in 7th ..divorce like situation and living separately.
Dont make any sense, rahu and ketu always stay 6 houses apart, if rahu is in 1 ketu will be in 7, if rahu in 2 ketu will be in 8th and so on
