Pay back with what. Con artists don't have boxes of money in their bedrooms. The money was probably spent on this thief's "living expenses". When I was a kid, 20 years in the slammer was considered appropriate for this kind of larceny, but today he'll be fined, (a fine he will never pay), and put on probation for 18 months.

The trial of "People vs Jack B. Wolfe" has been adjourned until February 2024.
So as of yet, he is still a free man.
I usually defend the right to be free until adjudication this boils my blood. People who already probably don't have much getting preyed on. So I'm not gonna defend him - I'd like to see him locked up until found guilty.

UMMM........With all due respect, thanks to our founding fathers, everyone is entitled to legal representation no matter what. I agree that 99 percent of the time the defendant is usually guilty but let's not forget that law enforcement, especially today, isn't above planting evidence and making shit up.
I fully believe in the constitution of this country. I just believe that if you are tied to the justice system you are treated differently than others.

Aren't we innocent before we are proven guilty? A great example is Casey Anthony. I'm sure we all agree that she was and still is 100 percent guilty. We all agree she's a horrible person. Unfortunately, the prosecution team that tried her case did an absolute horrible job of proving there case beyond a reasonable doubt. Before a judge hands over a case to a jury, one of the first things the judge says to the jury is that if they believe that the prosecution wasn't able to prove there case beyond a reasonable doubt, no matter what they personally feel, they must acquit. So you can take your arrogant BAHAHA comment and shove it up your a** along with potatoes chips. Nothing personal.
