From AC Brotherhood, you have many useless weapons. Sword, knife, hidden blades... with the kill strike it's all the same. It's just for a personal style. In Unity you use the hidden blade for stealth kills, and your, own, single weapon for the combat. And it also helps the personalisation in order to the co-op. For me this is the better way for unity. But I don't understand why there's alla this personalisation in AC Syndicate. Why? There is no multiplayer, this is almost useless. In particular for the weapons, they are very similar, and during a combat it's hard to see the differences
There was only two times I saw arno use the hidden blade in combat, Once was in a cut scene with Elise and the other was when I was fighting a higher level guard and arno used the hidden blade to damage him but it has only happened once and it's a rare animation to see

In AC 1 there is also a different hidden blade kill. I think u have to go slowly directly behind a guard and press the high-profile button as well as the hidden blade button at the same time. U can get a really unique killing animation.
Well actually the point of the creed is to hide in plain sight such as crowds or streets and then strike but part of the assasin idea is to make assasinations especially high profile ones in public in front of loads of people as a symbol and sign of themselves and.what they fight for
I feel like assassins creed 1 was the first game that I played, but brotherhood was what really meant the most to me out of all the games. There was just something about it that I loved.
You didn't do these animations justice. Unity has so many different animations that all look so clean and realistic (mostly). The characters slowly bleed out before dying and it's so cool, cuz in most the other games they just kinda fall over quickly. Unity has the only animations that make sense for an Assassin. And you shouldn't have included odyssey
it's already looking more about vikings than assassins and Ashraf has left his seat for now, this doesn't look too bright but i hope they prove me wrong and come out with a good game

Unity and syndicate, two games where the hidden blade isn’t usable in combat but still have the best animations. I’d include origins and odyssey but their assassinations are prone to getting you thrown into combat, and odyssey doesn’t even have a hidden blade, which isn’t that bad since the spear animations are 10/10

Syndicate and Black Flag had the best free roam for me, syndicate had so much immersive experience, black flag was different but the boat control was amazing for me. I overall love this franchise

Ac Unity hidden blade animations are unbeatable.
I’m surprised I didn’t see these here but if you sneak up on people in the og engine and ac3 engine and hit r2/rt and the assassinate button it does a cooler high profile assassination like how Altair kills the old man at the beginning of the game

I like Unity. It revamped the animation make it more fluid. And I like the kicking a mofo in the knees then stab assassination so much.
