@laurabailey1054 and those bull rings in their noses. I had tonwear white hose with dresses only with my cap. I was so happy when we could wear pants, since we lost Orderlies and had to climb on beds and such. But we surely got called out for any sloppy dressing.

I think like years ago, nurses used to learn on the job underneath matron. Instead of nurse's in college for years leaving hospital short of nurse's. With us starting from cleaning the bed pans and working your way up. ❤
I was able to go to that ranch years ago! Every Friday night at 10:00 pm EST would watch Dallas. Big deal at that time. Watched it again during COVID as a light, non-political, non-Covid show and laughed. JR (Larry Hagman) was so funny. That’s sweet you did that for your Mom. 😊. From South Carolina.
My town in North Carolina has a sort of bus - most like a shuttle thst has specific stops and that’s it! We also have a “shuttle” that older people can use by calling for a pickup - I thunk it has a reasonable cost but I won’t use either. Even the huge city of Phoenix, AZ has a bus system but so inconvenient as to be worthless! Charlotte south of us has a light rail - unfortunately it doesn’t run far enough north of the city to help with the traffic on the interstate! Wish we had decent public transportation!

You should read, ‘Lady In Waiting’ by Lady Glenconner. She was the lady in waiting to Princess Margaret. It was a fascinating book, such a lovely picture of a great friendship too.
Neil, my favourite transport was the Overhead Railway in Liverpool. My dad took me regularly for a trip on Sunday mornings while mum made lunch. I can remember every detail even though I am now in my 70s, wonderful to have memories like this. Love your channel keep cheering me up xxx
As a tourist to Washington DC many times in the 1990's, I think you have the best subway system I've ever travelled on! I always felt safe and the ceilings were so high on so many stops! Then it was a short walk down Connecticut Avenue and we were home with family. ❤🇨🇦
@ Thank you for enjoying our subway. I grew up here in DC & the bus rides bring back memories. Many years ago I rode the subway in Montreal & that was so clean & smooth ride. I think that subway was one of the models used by DC when they built our system back in the 1970s.

Our public bus isn't nearly as large as the double decker buses in the UK. I live in a smaller city in North Dakota USA. We only have the bus that runs during the day or Taxi's here. I currently just drive where I need to go.
Loved that show.. One of the sceens you would see a lot of on that show was the view a patient had of the ceiling and lights as they were wheeled along the hospital corridoors lying on a trolly, I had my first baby in 1963 and went to hospital as an emergencey and as I lay on the trolly I looked up saw the lights and thought "just like emergencey ward 10", took my mind off how bad I felt.
Thought I was the only person who loved the upstairs front seat - especially in London - what a glorious way to see everything. Love your show, I share my morning coffee with you. Keep up your brilliant work please.

My sister and I climbed the lighthouse stairs to the top. We had supper at what was Hurricane Henry’s. Live music, until the sun was about to set, and the music stopped so we all could watch it happen. The music started up again afterwards. The next day we took the ferry across the bay to Lewes, Delaware.
