  • Fall is kumquat time in north Florida, and time to make a delicious kumquat liqueur or bitter. While many people have trees full of fruit, the question is always "what to do with it?" In this video Dave explains how to make a delicious alcoholic bitter or liqueur from the tasty little citrus gems. This is part one of a two part series. In this part, Dave shows how to process the kumquats, and how to make the initial infusion. Later, in the summer, Part 2 will be posted where the filtering, dilution, and bottling of the final product is explained along with some ideas for using kumquat infusions in some awesome cocktails, and spritzes.
