  • Mark Brzezicki of Big Country gives a mini drum clinic, (in the dark, virtually) at the Big Country Convention, Russell Court Hotel, Dublin, Ireland, 17th April, 2004. A million thanks to the person who filmed this!

To bad it is in the dark! Such an amazing drummer. So informative and it sounds like so much energy and hard work.He must be so tired after a show, but certainly physically fit! Certainly one of the best!

This is a very special drummer. Besides to Big Country, listen to Pete Townshend's White City album, or especially most Midge Ure's solo albums. He sounds best on 'Answers to Nothing'. And then we have Fish's first solo album 'Vigil...'.
This man has a enormous unique way of playing....
    Greetzzzzz.

somewhere, j have an audio tape (remember them?) with mark playing with tony butler and simon townshend in a band called Shea Ramah. seeing this has inspired me to go to the shed and dig it out, as i remember its a collection of demos from the mid eighties. with songs like "strange island" "just one hour" and "hello i love you" they were all simon townshend songs, and dont think they got released anywhere, but its some of marks best fantastic drumming. just need a machine for tape!!

It was Lennie James on Bass not Tony , Pat Ahern recorded some of the tracks( like Strange Islands, a reference to Chiswick Park). and Also Performed them live. Yes never were released, shame as some of Simon's best material.
