      Also on his monthly milestone video, if you could include the books he is reading, activity/skills he is focusing, and the upcoming curriculum for him(where to find them) that would be really helpful. Again Thank you so much for doing this!!❤️❤️

    I have an 18 month old and love watching you guys! I am pretty much able to follow right along with you guys did with Christian a few months ago, now with my daughter. I would love to see what your units “schedule” looks like if you are able to share. I am finding it so difficult finding a “curriculum” to follow for an 18-24 month old.

    Love your videos!
    I know this is an older video for you, but I am wondering what units are appropriate for a 2 year old and how you go about determining what your units are? I also love the idea of a Friday field trips based on the unit. I am just planning out the term for my two year old incorporating both Spanish and English and I am but overwhelmed. Any resources about "curriculum" planning for for 2 years would be fantastic! Thank you for all of the wonderful content!

I like the idea and how to improve because the struggle is real right now with my 2 and 3year old. And I love how well Christian can communicate and understand you guys are doing s wonderful job. Also how did you make the name cards I love them

I’d say welcome to our channel but it sounds like you’ve been here for a while (which we are SO excited about by the way!) 🤗 I’m sure you are so tired after teaching preschool all day! I know I felt that way too before I was a SAHM. I’m sure you are doing better with your sweet 18 month old then you realize! Just that you’re here looking shows your care and effort 💛 I’m POSITIVE you’re an amazing mommy, and you’re doing a FABULOUS job! We are so happy to have you here in our TH-cam family with us! 💛

    I keep coming back to this wonderful video! Thank you for making such a great content. Could you please be so kind to share some ideas on how I can start to introduce the letters to my toddler? Thanks.

    • @CarnahanFam
      @CarnahanFam  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sure thing! We're so glad that you've enjoyed this video! As far as introducing letters are concerned, we do all of our learning at home through PLAY! If you haven't seen it all ready, be sure to check out our preschool curriculum which goes through exactly how to introduce letters. You'll see in the video below how we play with letters on an apple tree. It's all about exposing them continuously and giving the letter a name, just like you would tell them the name of any object! For example, "this is a cup" "this is a bear" "this is a /m/" (/m/ means make the sound m makes). I go over it a little more in depth in our curriculum if you have more questions (:

    Thank you for sharing. I have been having trouble getting my 27 month old toddler to do any sort of activity that requires any concentration. I have been teaching him abc, 123 for a month now, but he doesn't listen and still can't recognize any letter, number. I tried sorting color with him today, but he just walked away and refused to participate. He would even mess up everything in defiance. Another example, whenI teach him yellow and blue, and right away ask him which is yellow, he will pick blue. So I say: "no this is yellow. So which is yellow?" He will pick blue again. And this will go on, and then he runs off. I don't wait to think he is mentally challenged. But now seeing your videos I am so worried. Maybe this is a cry for help. In your 9 year experience as a preschool teacher, have you run into toddlers not wanting to do any educational sit-down activities? What do I do? I am just so frustrated... sorry for the long post.

    How do you make your skills binder

    • @CarnahanFam
      @CarnahanFam  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there! Great question! We made our skills binder ourselves just on our home computer and will provide a link to where it can be purchased soon! There are also lots of free pages you can find on Pinterest to meet the needs of the skills you want incorporated in your own skills binder! To get started, just make a short list of the skills you'd like to see your child work on each morning and go from there ☺
