This fight has so many explosions that even the explosions have explosions. As well as having backup explosions to the explosions. I also really liked the joke about Holosmiths.
Sidenote for anyone confused: why you send jumpers up in the first place is that the "mobs" that spawn is actually the cannons that destroy the platform, that's why it's so important to not fail and send them up when they've spawned ^^ Love these videos Muk!
Sabetha is probably my favorite (non CM) Raid boss in the game. Everything about this fight feels perfect to me. 1. You have to work as a team 2. There are specialized roles 3. The boss has phases that introduce mini bosses with their own mechanics 4. The environment design is awesome (It's a treehouse called the Skillet!) 5. I'm a shameless Michael Bay fan and fire and explosions and guns make me hot. Because they burn me to death. Because fire is hot.

Literally killed sabetha last night for the first time, 100% accurate. Don't forget to make the commander the flak kiter and gravitate over to them with timed bombs to really make it an accident of "I thought you were a marker!"
Bonus fact: You get the green circle (launching bomb) from Bandit Sappers. They spawn on opposite side than cannon and they target usually the closest player (thats why flak kiter gets the first one usually). You can get pretty consistent with getting them but since Sappers are RNG its still better to count on getting it randomly if you are doing it with squad that just run all around the platform :D
bonus bonus fact: the sappers like to launch the bomb at the westernmost person on the platform, a decent kite with this info can stay west and get 90% of the grenades ( the kite still need to be in range of the sappers) ex: (this not my vid just an example ) th-cam.com/video/NBYiFa77H9E/w-d-xo.html

@@just_kamil_ Extra bonus facts: there are also heavy bombs in this encounter and if people don't press F on them the platform will get destroyed pretty quickly, you cannot kite while in stealth so if you're on druid make sure not to have the stealth trait, Sabetha comes back to the platform exactly when the adds reach 25% of their health and depending on the squad DPS she can start with a flamewall aimed north east (independent of squad stacking) which makes the 3rd cannon a bit tricky, an easy way to avoid the flamewall rather than running around is to go left of its spawn location (while facing the boss) and come back to your original position as it will despawn after a full rotation, the cannons spawns at xx:00 and xx:30 but you want to be on the jump pad only 5 seconds later as that's when the bomb spawns, being too early on the jump pad can kill you as adds can kick you out of the platform or you can get flak on it, if you don't have the raid mastery getting launched with the green bomb will damage you, below 50% HP there are 2 timed bombs instead of one, when a cannon is up it will damage the platform but also the players so you should not stack on that quarter of the platform and finally the last add (Karde) takes extra damage from condition but that's usually irrelevant.

I have bad habit of playing all games and not finishing anything and I am not good with people . . . and GW2 has bewn bit daunting whrn it comes to do anything as there is so much to do
Fair enough! Raids were the very last type of content I approached in GW2, and they aren't for everyone. I try to make these entertaining enough that even those that might not raid can still have a laugh.
@@MuklukTH-cam biggest problem for me is that I am not in any guild. I play so rarely and not constant at all that any guild I was in I have been kicked out from :D unless my Engineer is still in guild and even then it seems so scary to ask from another person if I could raid with them "I will just get in their way, they don't want me, I don't want to bother people... What if I have to commit too much......" and so on ^_^
@@xezzee from what I know on Snowcrow there are some discord servers specifically made for people that want to start raiding. Give it a shot, I heard they are really friendly and competent :) Mukluck makes some training raids too in his guild if I'm correct
@@krakkentrace6095 At the moment gf bough the two expansios so we have long way to start raiding as we plant to first play story ^_^ maybe level few lvl 80 characters and she is hooked constantly playing gw2 now that animal crossing event stoppes. we will probably run a lit of 8ther content oefir raids jut maybe 2021 is the year I get to raid first time in gw2 hehe....
I will say; make your people stack well, and let the flak kiter throw the bombs. It’s much easier. Basically flak kiter should stay WEST (circle is how we mark it), because whatever reason - the sappers hate west and will throw the bombs on the most west person, providing the stack is good - and the rest stack hard mid excepting red bomb. This way, your flak kiter can catch and throw all bombs - leaving the dps to do their jobs.
I joined a raid group, totally nice bunch of people. They suggested I watch this video before we took part. I got 1 min into this video, went back into the game, told them there was no way I'd feel comfortable enough to do this raid with people I barely know. I know I'm going to screw up, die, do something wrong, and waste everyone's time. I hate this stupid Raid bullsh*t. The ONLY reason I want to do this is to unlock the damn mastery. Guess that will never happen.
You could request to not be one of the jumpers, if you aren't a jumper all you do is stay near the middle, hit boss and avoid red circles and fire walls. I usually don't hask brand new people to do jumping myself.
I usually just teach everyone the mechanic so that anyone can do it no matter who they are. THAT SAID if you want to force ONE PERSON to always get the bomb, have that person always be farther to the west than everyone else. Here is a copy paste from the wiki with details: "There's a lot of theorycrafting about sapper bombs mechanic but the closest one seems to indicate that sapper bombs are assigned by an invisible mechanic to anyone at southwest 5 seconds before the actual sapper appears; so if you stand at 8:30 at West (2-3meters away from Sabetha) while everyone else is stacking at south, the sapper bomb will be assigned to you at 8:25 so long as you don't leave the cast ran"
