Very well done! My MP0515A arrived today. The manual provides only minimal instruction, so I really appreciate your video that provides much more detailed instructions.

My battery was on Year 9 and I would get it tested every fews months. It would sometimes sound sluggish to start once every 7 months or so, so I wasn't too concerned. But I noticed the CCAs were decreasing over time even though the car still started. I was debating when to replace this battery as it was still reading okay by the mechanics. I noticed the rating at the bottom of this device (poor, normal, great) doesn't seem accurate to what the mechanic read out was. My SOC on the MP0515A measured at 75% when the voltage was 12.39 V and it said "great", whereas at the mechanics it would say good and to recharge. I think I'd rather just look at the numbers and decide if the battery is good or not in some cases. In the end I decided to replace my relic battery as winter is here and the old battery seemed to be declining slowly. The resistance was measured at 6.61 mOhms (with the MP0515A tool). I was unable to measure the proper CCAs or CAs as I was not in the correct temperature, so maybe that affected the reading of other things. The voltage would read fine though I guess.

I have this meter, and one thing i have learned from it, charge the battery after it says its bad, if it charges fine, then test it again, i have done this 3 times and all 3 of the "replace the battery" batteries, came back as "good" after the battery was charged. in all of those cases, something else was going on, i think it uses the state of charge as a factor in if the battery is bad or not. every stat changed when the battery was charged.

Have you also found that the life parameter seems to be pretty indicative of how long you have left? Also, when you say something else was going on, what do you mean? Are you guessing, or did you diagnose that there was definitely a non-battery related problem?
