I wonder if James is aware of the "Hush hush" podcast series by lawyer Robert Barnes. It covers the unofficial narrative of current and historical political events. Barnes and co-host Viva Frei have a considerable following and Ellroy would be a welcomed guest on their weekly podcast.

Ellroy does not look good here. He scraped the idea of a second quartet. Maybe he realized he did not have time to finish those epics. It's hard to see him with little energy, but hopefully he was just with a flu. Keep going, demon dog!
