When my sons were the age to start understanding real and made-up stories, NOVA did a special on the moon landings. "C" looked a little puzzled. "These space ships are so small."
"Are you thinking of the other spaceship we watch (Star Trek)?"
    He nodded.
"That ship is made-up. These were real when I was a boy."
He was glued to it from then on.
It ended with an incredible composit of a Saturn 5 launch. Ice falling, flame billowing, all the fire getting sucked down the flame trench, cables disconnecting, ganter pulling back, clamps releasing, rocket rising..... I don't think my kid even breathed😮

Sorry to hear about the copyright slam. Brazil is a country of mostly sleazy people who won't measure efforts to stomp onto others if that means they make an easy buck or pamper their ego, morals, ethics and even laws be damned. But they'll say glory to Dog with the pokerest of faces and no amount of being called out will ever make them admit they're wrong while crying foul that this or that politician is a crook -- out of envy because they can't be there to be an even bigger crook. Source: Am Brazilian and have to put up with this crap on a daily basis.

"You're kinda ruining TH-cam with the frikkin ads." summarizes the situation for me. I used to say I don't mind ads, then they started rolling 6 minute robo-voice scam infomercials that make me angry. TH-cam used to be on a screen 8 hours a day, but the last few months I'm just as likely to fire up old Hammer Horror movies on Tubi as background noise while I'm working.

Lead chromate was added to cinnamon for color...NPR did a bit on this. The recent drop in violent crime has been attributed, in part, to removing lead from gasoline.

I had always read about lead paint being gnawed on by kids in poor areas (old housing with old lead paint on the windowsills, etc). Also read the reason was it tasted sweet. There was sure enough leaded gas (we used gas to clean paint brushes and grease off tractor engines, etc) and other stuff on the farm growing up but eating paint chips was not on my radar as a kid.
Probably in the latter 90s (I was in my early 30s then), I checked out some old paint chips I suspected were lead based. Put a few on my tongue long enough to confirm, yes, they tasted sweet. Spit out and rinsed afterwards of course.
I went to college in Flint, MI late 80s and places I lived then probably had lead pipe from the city mains (!). The recent scandal had to do with the change to more acidic water source that "cleaned" the scale off those pipes and allowed the lead to get into the water in a higher amount.

I was impressed that on the third launch, SpaceX got Starship into orbit. Clearly something went wrong either in the process of launch, while in orbit, or as it returned that was the cause of the breakup. I haven't followed closely enough to know if they said what caused the failure. But this is impressive. I fully expect that the next launch will bring Starship back to Earth in one piece. It's a process that took NASA well over ten years to do back in the day so much congratulating is earned and deserved. I was curious about Starship's trajectory during reentry. The little indicator kept flipping around even though it didn't seem the ship was doing that. I don't understand what that was about.

My dad lived in a house where the water pipe coming into the house was made from lead. He lived there from 1946 until 2015 when he passed away at the grand old age of 96. So he was seemingly unaffected by it. Though i do wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that 6 out 7 of his children all suffer from various neurological diseases in their later years.

Well, the leas is only a problem if it goes into solution. If the pipe has a nice layer of lime on the inside may be enough. Or simple luck. Small quantities make statistical effects, not acute ones.

The cheap filler of choice in China is melamine. That's what was being put in pet and baby foods to cause a lot of deaths and sickness. It gives a falsely high test result for protein if you use a poor testing method which the US importer was. The manufacturer knew what test was being used and plotted to defraud the buyer with no care about health effects. Melamine is also used as a filler in plastics, making them weak and breakable.

That said, 15 would have been the normal age for junior clerical staff across the board. I cannot believe a government department would have knowingly hired underage children, and given the fact that at least some vetting would have taken place, unlikely.
