@brickvirus2789 two of the few sets I don't have. Both are crazy high prices so that's good evidence they are some of the most sought after these days. Hopefully these will be in that category as well.
That’s a good list! I’m really excited about the Mezco Turtles. I think they are the first set of turtles in the past 15 years that have a legitimate shot at dethroning my NECA Mirage Turtles as my favorite of all time - and that says a lot. I’ve had those NECA Mirage turtles since 2008 and they’ve been top ten in my collection ever since.
@joshmv I'm really hoping for the same thing. I love every set of turtles I have, but I don't have a set that just feels like its my hands down definitive favorite set of turtles. I really hope this is that set.
@@noyougrowup69 if it’s as good looking in hand as what they showed off at SDCC this year, it will easily be the best set ever made. That set was badass at SDCC!
The Furay Planet figures are awesome. I'm getting the Blade Master Weng figure. I'll probably get the Kensai Rabbit figure since he is cheaper than the others. I'll skip on the Mezco turtles though, I can't spend $400+ on them. Awesome video again brother!
@eddiemorales7450 that Blade Master Weng figure might be the best looking of all of them honestly. I still might end up pulling the trigger on Crocker, I feel like I could find a home for him.
If you’re going to get a great set of Turtles you could always buy a custom set, that’s what I did and I’m very happy with them. I do have some sets but when they cost $400-$500 a piece that’s getting out of hand for me anyway. I love the channel!
@alexhickenbottom2820 thanks dude! what customs did you go in on? I don't really spend much time on IG and I feel like most people in FB groups just share the main stream stuff so I'm kind of out of the loop in that department.
1:08 Kensai (misspelling of kensei "sword saint") is a title, not a name. BBTS listed this as both 8.6" and 1/12 scale. Wonder if it's really 6", hence the cheaper price compared to tbe other figures in the line.
@heroesytumbas appreciate that nug of knowledge, now it makes sense. I know these figs run big unless these creatures are made to be giants they aren't 1/12. The crocker you could def make work at that scale but I don't see this rabbit fitting in with my NECA movie line.
Have you seen or talked about Turtle King Rogue Knight? It's a 7 inch Leo very barbarian / sea looking. Has armor over one shoulder very Japanese style. He looks ok, but I would hope they would make all the turtles.
@roonis418 I have seen it but I haven't really talked about it yet. I'm as on the fence as I could be. I keep checking it to see if it's still in stock but I keep not putting down the deposit haha. I'd like to see some reviews before I go in on it but then I run the risk of not getting it too.
As for unaccurate/artistic license turtle figures I think Fury is making hands down the most interesting and cool looking ones. Those Mezco look like over textured generic fanart. They look kinda like Mirage turtles but not really, like og Playmates but not really, and those cloth accesories do nothing for them neither.
I like the Mezco look overall, but I kinda wish the skin skewed more "scaly" than "wrinkly". The pleather pouches, belts and overall head sculpt style remind me a bit of those DreamEX 1:6 scale TMNT from a few years back, but like maybe as kids.
@heroesytumbas I def know what you mean with the "over textured" thing that was my biggest nitpick when I first saw these as well. I feel like it looks a lot better on the actual ones they showed at SDCC compared to the digital renders for their marketing picks.
The FuRay Crocker and Veteran William are amazing. Haven’t pulled the trigger on the tiger, but I do have the rabbit on preorder. The Fury not Leo is fantastic, too. I have the not Donny and not Splinter on order, too. I’m with you, though. I think the not Donny is too tall. I prefer the initial size they showed him at when they showed the silhouettes of the four brothers. The Mezco Turtles are tempting, but I am keeping my Mezco purchases to the Gangreene Estates line. Theodore Sodcotter was my first Mezco.
@jeffwhite2280 I've been thinking about going in on the Crocker figure more and more since I made this video. Everyone seems very stoked on that guy. I'm with you on Donny's height I wish he was like halfway between the height he is and the Leo figure.
@WillMunny22 without any order, contenders would be: the 3 figures I mentioned (Samurai Spring, NECA Ronin, Toon Usagi), GITD S7 Raph, NECA Triceraton, and Green Ranger Shredder. So there's a rough list but a hard one sounds like a video for another day haha.
@blarkus_the_destroyer3430 yes I have and I enjoyed it very much! Totally psyched for the Furay Planet figures! That Kensai is insane--love that he's kinda creepy and ominous. I have Crocker and William (the wolf) and am eagerly anticipating Weng (the tiger). Man, I wish this company would just pay for the TMNT license to pump out all the classic turtle characters like this! The Samurai Turtles are great, too! I wish they were doing Raph sooner--I think he's slated for last. But they showed concept art and he is supposed to be taller and bulkier than the others. Have you seen the Turtle King Rogue Knight third party Leo figure on 5K Toys? Kind of a ninja/samurai/barbarian take on TMNT. Looks interesting! It won't be out till around this time next year, though.
@AutomaTom1939 I'm not going to lie, I kind of like these companies doing unlicensed stuff. I feel like it gives them more freedom and honestly it probably saves us a few bucks form them not having to pay for licensing. I feel like Raph is going to come last which hopefully him and Mikey come together like Splinter and Don did for this year. If not, it would be cool if they did Casey or Shredder to come with the turtles as well to give the line more length. I have seen that figure on 5k toys and I'm on the fence. It's definitely interesting, but I almost want to see a review before I pull the trigger.
Any news on when the release of the fury toys/rage toys Don, Splinter, and accessory pack? Also do you think they will rerelease the Leo down the road? Sadly I missed out on that and will be one turtle short since I am planning on getting the rest of the line. Also how far do you think they will take the line after the 4 turtles and splinter? Maybe a shredder or foot clan member?
@roonis418 I haven't heard anyone getting shipping notices or anything. Hopefully they hit in the next month or two. I said this to someone else, I think it's crazy they didn't do the Leo again. Who knows if they will down the road, but I wouldn't completely rule it out. My biggest wants would be a Shredder and a Casey for sure. But a foot army builder might have me getting 2-4.
The Mezco turtle sculpts are fantastic, but as an old school Mirage fan, I don’t t think they look right with the colored toon bandanas. Those sculpts are Mirage centric. So no way I’m paying that money for Mirage turtles with toon bandanas. It’s insulting in my opinion. Toon fans are placated to far too much. If you’re a true turtle fan, get behind the all red bandanas! It’s not that hard! Doesn’t it make sense they’d fight in a uniform like real fighting units?
@seanmitchell8151 honestly I think the move would have been to throw in alt red bandana heads and it's surprising they didn't. They come with 3 heads each, maybe I'll try to get someone to paint a set of mine. Now that you've got it in my head, I feel like I need them.
eric exactly how much are the mezco tmnt figures going for?did u say 400 bucks for 4 figures?so thats a 100 bucks a figure.and wats the exact size of the mezco figures?
@diongeorge5737 so they aren't sold individually, you have to get the whole set of 4. So technically, they would be $100 per fig but it really is just one $400 purchase. They are 1/12 scale so I imagine they'll be like 5 inches tall. They're doing a Casey that hasn't gone up yet but I bet he'll be around 6 inches.
@albatz1377 yeah Leo will actually get another one in this accessory set so he'll have 2 regular head and the samurai head. Donny will have a regular, the hooded head, and the samurai one so lots of options.
The TMNT Mezco figures are a SLEEPER hit. People will REGRET them in due time. And people complaining about the price being "too much", bro the Neca 4 pack mirage turtles sell for like $600-$1000 on ebay on the secondary market whether it's the og colors or black & white & the movie spirit splinter is like $400 on eBay & none of those compare to Mezco's quality. I think they will be the "end all be all" turtles meaning if you don't have them no one is going to make anything close to being this good.
@hovseph818 that's what I'm really hoping for. You never know what you're going to get with digital renders but after seeing the ones at SDCC they looked even better than I would have guessed. After getting my first Mezco figure I couldn't believe how good he felt in my hands his joints are so smooth and his paint is amazing. I'll probably never own the OG Mirage bros at this point so I hope this is my definitive set.
Those Mezco turtle styles look so tuff
@stickypaintzfingerz totally agree dude, can't wait to get them in hand.
Those Mezco turtles might just be up there with the og NECA and the revoltech turtles but we'll just have to wait and see
I think the Mezco TMNT will be better than the Neca OG mirage turtles

I also went in just on Articulated Ninja's recommendation.
@MP3DK76-kn1op the customs he made of the other bros are so dope.
I'd agree with this video my personal most anticipated figures are the Mezco Turtles and 3rd party Splinter
@briarshinn it's just exciting to get such cool figures that aren't NECA, S7 or Playmates too.
