    Thanks so much for the information. I have no prior IT experience and will take my exam this Friday. This video is great for knowing what to expect.
    I used this video along with other resources to fill gaps in knowledge. Fingers crossed! 🤞
    5/5/23 edit: I passed the exam thanks to your advice!!! Most of the topics you mentioned here were asked on my exam. This is a great overview for anyone studying for the CC. Here are some more resources I used:
    -ISC2 self-paced training + Ebook
    -Mike Chappel's Linkedin Learning CC course
    -Thor Pedersen's Udemy course + practice exams
    -Paulo Carriera & Andree Miranda Udemy practice exams
    -Prabh Nair practice questions on TH-cam
    -Cloud Guru Amit practice questions on TH-cam
    - Some prior A+ and Sec+ knowledge from Professor Messer on TH-cam.
    - I highly recommend knowing the OSI model as well.

      It's great to see that you're taking the initiative to fill in any gaps in your knowledge with additional resources.
      I understand that taking an exam can be daunting, especially with no prior IT experience, but I have no doubt that with your hard work and dedication, you can succeed.
      You're taking an important step towards your career in cybersecurity, and I wish you all the best on your upcoming exam. Stay calm and focused, trust in your abilities, and don't forget to take breaks as needed. You got this, I’m rooting for you!
      Here are some tips to help you prepare and perform well:
      1. Don't rely solely on the free CC training materials. Use additional resources to cover all aspects of the exam.
      2. Practice exam questions to get a feel for the exam format and ensure that you're not surprised on exam day. Given that you have no prior experience, I strongly suggest taking the test assessment on Udemy, as it provides an exact question pattern that you'll likely encounter on the ISC2 CC exam. You can access the assesment through this link: www.udemy.com/course/certified-in-cybersecurity-cc-exam-preparation/. This will help you prepare more effectively and increase your chances of success on the exam.
      3. Use the pad provided to jot down ideas and eliminate options. Looking at the screen sometimes can be overwhelming, so using the pad can make it less distracting.
      4. Remember that you have two hours to answer the questions. The exam includes some "test questions" that don't count toward your score, it's for ISC2 internal. You need a score of 70% to pass, but scores are not mentioned on the certificate or results paper.
      5. Be strategic about which questions you spend time on and which you skip. You can't skip a question and return to it later, so choose wisely.
      6. Stay calm and focused during the exam. You are allowed to take breaks as needed during the exam. it's worth noting that you won't be allowed to bring any personal items, including water bottles, into the exam room. To avoid any interruptions during the exam, it's best to drink water beforehand and prepare yourself mentally to stay focused for the duration of the test.
      7. Arrive at the venue early to allow time for the initial process. It can be overwhelming, so take some deep breaths to overcome any anxiety while you wait for your turn.
      8. Remember to check the ISC2 website for more information and FAQs about the exam. www.isc2.org/Frequently-Asked-Questions
      I wish you the best of luck on your exam and would love to hear about your experience!

      @@mylifetalks thanks for ur comment, and one more doubt- can we leave the exam center when finished or should we sit there for 2 hours till the exam is finished... If I could know it early I could take my return tickets accordingly..

    • @mylifetalks
      @mylifetalks  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you can leave the exam center when you are finished with your ISC2 CC exam.Once you have completed your exam, you will need to raise your hand to signal to the test administrator (TA). The TA will then come to your station to verify that you are finished and to collect your exam materials.When i say materials sometime they give small rough pad and pen. If you finish your exam early, you will be allowed to leave the test center immediately. You do not need to wait until the end of the scheduled exam time.Please note that you will not be able to return to the exam room once you have left. Therefore, it is important to make sure that you have finished your exam and that you have turned in all of your exam materials , collected your mark list and your id proofs before you leave.
      I hope this information is helpful. Good luck with your exam!

    0:28 You should take full credit for passing the exam. I am sure it was difficult. I really, really like you being modest (not many people genuinely are modest these days), but you will have problems because in a culture that actively promotes bragging and showing off for nothing, your modesty will be perceived as lack of confidence and self- esteem. Dear Charlie,

      I’m so excited for you! If you've been working hard I'm confident that you'll do great.
      Stay calm and focused, trust in your abilities, and don't forget to take breaks as needed. You got this, I’m rooting for you, Champ!
      Here are some tips to help you prepare and perform well:
      1. Don't rely solely on the free CC training materials. Use additional resources to cover all aspects of the exam.
      2. Practice exam questions to get a feel for the exam format and ensure that you're not surprised on exam day. I strongly suggest taking the test assessment on Udemy, as it provides an exact question pattern that you'll likely encounter on the ISC2 CC exam. You can access the assessment through this link: www.udemy.com/course/certified-in-cybersecurity-cc-exam-preparation/.
      Remember to take breaks during the exam to avoid burnout or fatigue. You can take two breaks during the exam, each of which is 10 minutes long. Even if you feel like you're making good progress, taking a short break now and then can help you stay alert and focused throughout the test. Just manage your time effectively so you can complete the exam within the allotted two-hour time frame.
      I wish you the best of luck on your exam and would love to hear about your experience!

    Do you think it is necessary to have knowledge of A+ and Network+ topics before attempting to take the ISC2 CC test? I am unsure if I should study those first before getting into the CC program? Thanks for your insight.

    • @mylifetalks
      @mylifetalks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for taking the time to watch the video and posting your comment. Wonderful question,
      Having a foundational understanding of computer hardware, security and networking can be beneficial. The A+ and Network+ certifications cover these topics in detail, and they can provide a good foundation for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in cybersecurity. However, they are not a prerequisite for the ISC2 CC certification.
      Decision to study for A+ and Network+ before pursuing the ISC2 CC certification depends on your prior knowledge and experience in these areas. If you already have a strong foundation in computer hardware and networking, then you may not need to study A+ or N+
      Sharing the learning path from my experience, without the need for A+ or N+

    thank you for this Video, however I have a question, you mentioned that the only external attack that affects availability of information is DDOS, my question is that how about Ransomeware atack? Does Ransomeware not affect availability too?
    I do hope you'll see this and answer me
    Thank you

    • @mylifetalks
      @mylifetalks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! Thank you for taking the time to watch the video and leaving a comment. You are absolutely right that ransomware attacks can also impact the availability of information. In fact, ransomware attacks often encrypt the victim's files, making them inaccessible until a ransom is paid. This is a form of denial-of-access attack (RDDoS), which falls under the broader category of denial-of-service attacks that can affect the availability of information. Ransomware also comprises the integrity as well as the confidentiality of information. When ransomware encrypts a victim's data, it changes the original form of the data, which can affect the integrity of the information. I hope that helps clarify things.
      It's important to keep in mind that interpretation can vary depending on how a question is read or understood. While I believe that ransomware attacks can compromise C, I and A, there may be differing opinions or interpretations on this matter. Thanks again for your thoughtful question!

Regarding your concern about using a second free voucher code, according to my friend who contacted ISC2 customer service, doing so might result in our membership being revoked. Even if we use a different email ID or reuse the existing voucher, we need to keep in mind that they have a copy of our Gov ID’s, scanned our palms, took pictures for identification as part of the exam. Therefore, it becomes easy for them to recognize if someone is attempting to take the exam multiple times, compared to the number of vouchers issued.

      However, do not attend the exam solely relying on these resources as they only cover the basics. The exam covers topics that are outside of the free content.
      2. If you have experience working in IT cybersecurity, I highly recommend attending this LinkedIn training by Mike Chapple. You can take the training for free by subscribing to one month of LinkedIn free. Don't forget to cancel the subscription after the one-month trial to avoid being charged:

      www.udemy.com/course/certifiedincybersecurity/.
      4. These are the best practice questions. I have a couple of friends who passed the exam, and they said some of the questions in this practice appeared on the exam. I can't vouch for it as I didn't use them for practice, but it's from word of mouth from my friends:

    Hi, great video. Does it expire?

    • @mylifetalks
      @mylifetalks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! Thanks for watching my video. Yes, the ISC2 CC certification expires after two years. To maintain your certification, you must earn 60 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits every two years.
      CPE credits can be earned through a variety of activities, such as:
      Attending conferences and training courses
      Reading industry publications and blogs
      Taking online courses
      Writing articles or blog posts
      Giving presentations or webinars
      Volunteering your time to a cybersecurity organization
      If you do not earn the required number of CPE credits, your certification will expire and you will need to retake the exam to become recertified.
      The exam is currently free for everyone, but there is a $50 annual maintenance fee to keep your certification active. If you are already an ISC2 member, you do not have to pay this fee.
      Here are some additional tips for earning CPE credits:
      Look for activities that are relevant to your career goals and interests.
      Be sure to keep track of your CPE credits so that you do not lose track.
      There are a number of online resources that can help you find CPE activities and track your credits.I hope this answers your question.

However, it's important to note that you can't take the ISC2 CC exam from the comfort of your home. To take the exam, you'll need to schedule an appointment at a Pearson VUE testing center. You can easily schedule the exam through their website, and then you'll visit the designated center for the actual test.
      On the day of your exam, be sure to bring a valid form of identification and your exam voucher. Additionally, remember that personal belongings should be securely stored in a locker during the exam, as I mentioned in the video.
      The ISC2 CC exam is a multiple-choice exam, and in order to pass, you'll need to achieve a score of at least 70%. I hope this information helps clarify things for you. Best of luck with your studies !

    @My Life Talks: Did you pay $50 fee immediately after passing the exam or is it free for 1st year ?

    • @mylifetalks
      @mylifetalks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Congratulations on passing your examination! You should know that (ISC)² provides free training through an online self-paced course available for six months and pays for your exam administration by providing you with an exam code to use. However, please note that maintaining your certification requires an annual fee of $50.
      To clarify, the training materials and exam are 100% free, but becoming a member and obtaining the certificate will cost you $50 per year. Passing this examination is the first of three steps toward earning your certification.
      The next step is to complete the online application within nine months of your exam date. While work experience is not required to earn the CC designation, completing the application verifies that you have read and understood the (ISC)² Code of Ethics.
      Once your application is completed, the final step is to pay your first Annual Maintenance Fee (AMF). Once your AMF payment is made, you will earn your certification. However, if you already hold an (ISC)² certification or associate status, you will not have to pay an additional AMF for your latest certification.
      If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact ISC2 Support at membersupport@isc2.org or +1.866.331.4722.
      It's worth noting that while certification bodies must ensure the relevance and value of their certifications through ongoing updates, some may be motivated by profit, which can result in increased membership and maintenance fees. As such, lifetime free certifications are becoming less common in the industry.

    Do we need to take hall ticket for exam?

    • @mylifetalks
      @mylifetalks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Greetings,
      Thank you for your comment! Best of luck with your upcoming exam!
      Regarding your question, there is no requirement to bring a physical hall ticket for the exam. Instead, i would advise to keep a soft-copy of your exam registration confirmation email from VUETestingService@Pearson.com. This email contains important details such as your Client Candidate ID and Registration ID. While it is not mandatory to have a soft-copy, it's beneficial to keep it accessible for reference.
      In addition, it's important to note the mandatory items for the exam day, such as bringing two valid forms of identification as outlined in the exam guidelines. You can find a comprehensive list of requirements and additional information on the official exam website.
      Admission Policy
      Plan to arrive at your test center at least 30 minutes before your exam start time. To check in for your appointment, the following is required:
      * Show two (2) valid, unexpired forms of personal ID (examples include: government issued ids, passports, etc.). Both must have your name (exactly as it appears in your exam registration) and signature, and one of the two must have your photo. For more information about acceptable IDs please visit:
      * www.isc2.org/Register-for-Exam and look under What You Need to Bring to the Test Center tab for more information.
      * Provide your signature.
      * Submit to a palm vein scan (unless prohibited by law).
      * Have your photo taken. Hats, scarves, and coats may not be worn for your photo. You may not wear these items in the test room.
      * Leave your belongings outside the testing room. You will have access to secure storage. As storage space is limited, please plan appropriately. Pearson VUE test centers do not assume responsibility for your belongings.
      * Receive a short orientation from the Test Administrator (TA). After the orientation, the TA will escort you to a testing station.
      * Sign and agree to the Non-Disclosure Agreement that will be presented at the beginning of your exam. Please take a moment to review the agreement now so that you are familiar with it when you sit for your exam.
      During this process, it is common to feel anxious. Remember to take a breather, drink some water, and relax. The palm scans may take some time, and they may be repeated multiple times.
      Once again, I wish you the best of luck with your exam! I'm sure you'll excel.

      Thank you for your comment. I'm sorry to hear that your exam didn't go well. It could happen to even the best of us. Don't give up! The exam is not necessarily hard if we spend some time on it. However, it can be overwhelming if we are not familiar with the cybersecurity terms. In addition, having a good grasp of English language comes in handy. Knowing the meaning of words will help us to comprehend the questions accurately can make a significant difference in the exam's outcome.
      Check the below ISC2 forum link on retake policy and cost
      community.isc2.org/t5/Exam-Preparation/CC-Exam-Retake/td-p/55629
      There was a free retake program from ISC2, however, I don’t think CC was part of it. Shared the link for your reference.
