They look like they’re having fun. I saw them at the very tail end of their original run. Including their last London and Final ever show at Reading. And there was an emptiness to those performances. Great but. Solemn. I’m so happy they’re back. Obviously needed the rest 👍🏻
Never seen another band that could vary so much show to show as the GLA did. Saw them loads the first time around and they did some of the greatest shows i've seen in 30 years of watching music (one in Oxford in my top 3, possible top1!), yet they also churned through some turgid sets that had me wanting to go home halfway through. I actually really enjoyed the final Hammersmith show because it felt like the band was relieved to know it was their last dance and the atmosphere was weirdly great (to me), but I totally get what you're saying about the later years being a real struggle. Fallon's solo shows were more miss than hit for me, and I can't get on board with the increase in between-song chat, but again I saw some magic moments. McLusky and Shellac are the only bands i've ever seen that improve for between song mumblings, and that's only because their singers could do stand up in another life! Anyway, wonderful to have the GLA back and enjoying their music again. I don't mind the new record and I'll catch them at the Roundhouse for old time's sake. This band has been one of the soundtracks to my life, and it's just great to see them all happy together again.
I’ve always loved TGA from day one but have to be honest and say I thought Brian got a little bit carried away with himself with his solo stuff and I couldn’t get onboard with his entire persona but it seems to have had a positive effect in the long run as he’s come back with the band and they sound better and more in tune than I’ve ever heard them. Nobody makes heart warming/breaking music like they do at the same time. Can’t wait for the new record and I’m back in love with Brian just to be clear! And his new look is inspiring for a near 40 yr old dad like myself...real music is made by real people
@@nicoleratcliff9441 Love your reply. He quit smoking and spent two years basically in his house because of government mandates. He is there to have fun and share the music. Love him and his music, period. And in his own words, "I just don't care."
Sal Baglio of the Stompers explained this nearly 50 years ago: you got two 'sounds', you got the rough live stuff and you got the tweaked, clean studio stuff. I'm with you re. GA but there's an audience for the 'rough' too.
To continue the story, I think the 'two sounds' killed the Stompers. Their live shows were a celebration of rock n roll but their studio stuff was dull dull dull. And they never went anywhere because of that. There's nothing dull dull dull about GA live or in studio though.
I don't think I'll ever get sick of The '59 Sound!

I saw them when they were just kids back in 2010. I barely knew who they were but was hooked for years.
I WAS THERE!!! WOO!!
I look fwd to seeing them again hopefully...cant wait to here us dates..L.A or O.C.
Well shot and good sound. The band sounds tight
Alex L. using a chorus pedal on Old White Lincoln, I love it!
Love the song *HALLOWEEN* I saw them play that live in October years ago in Chicago.
so good
I love ....even cowgirls get the blues ...that start fantastic , classic.
with the radio on!
Best GA song, best GA song to see live
Brian is like a cross between Matty Matthison and Darryl from the Walking Dead
Anybody got the set list?
Ok when i was T this concert i think i got blinded about 200 time cuz i was in the front
Not sure the people of Missouri get Brian’s humor. Glad to see them playing again.
Watch his in-house concerts if you want to learn about Brian’s sense of humor. I live in Columbia, MO and find it dry and hilarious.
Im not sure people in NJ do either lol he's funny af though
I can see my self next to the railing lol
could someone tould me the name of the last song here?
I was there........No encore = boo
The fans were worth it.

Well said
Persona?
American Slang ages like fine wine.
Never seen Brian being that much passive aggressive 😮
I was there. Still sound great! Love the sound. Wanted an encore. Not a fan of Brian's appearance.
Brian has been outspoken against doing encores for a long time. Doubt they will ever go back to doing so.
Whats wrong with brian
I assume cause he's put on weight? Forgot he had to have a six pack for you to enjoy the music more
@@kidcracker16 ikr just listen to the music and enjoy it he oviously living his best life

Saw them live in Chicago last year... love them on record but they suck live...
Why, they're perfectly on point here, timing is impeccable, not sure what you could really find fault with
@@crk140 they sound so hollow compared to recorded stuff. They sound weak live.

@@user-ym3ld5ut7b That could be the recording or just naff live sound engineering.
