Less than half the price of the genuine California version, easier to fit plus takes up considerably less room. Every centimetre counts when you'll trying to squeeze as much as we do into our Volkswagen Transporters on a camping trip.

£600 for a plastic box with two camping chairs in. Has the tailgate dropped on your head?
It amazes me people still think like this. Have you no concept of R&D costs, mould costs (around £12k on this) import costs and duty, staffing, materials, warehousing, transport, distribution, shipping etc.
Anyway, thanks for your comment and I understand this item isn't for you. They're nearly sold out so thankfully other see the value.

@@THQAutomotive would have not been better to sell more at a lower price to recoup R&D costs? I would have bought this at maybe £200 as a cool little mod, but at £600, no chance. I’m sure many others feel the same.
I've got a fabworx r&r bed and it right at the back of the van more or less touching the carpeted tailgate trim,
Will this fit?
Or fit with r&r beds.
It's alot to find it doesn't fit.
Looking at these through Kombilife in Australia. Are these suitable for the T6 Multivan, and how wider are they compared to the OEM trim.
Am I right to assume this wouldn't fit with a Fortywinks Kombi bed?

I like it, but I've heard it doesn't fit if you have or want the Ovano switch XL in the back of your T6.1 Kombi.
Correct. The ovano takes up the same space the chair pod goes in.
Awesome! Can these be fitted to a T6 Caravelle? Mine has the pull down strap and the tailgate release button but I guess these can be cut into the pod? Cheers.
They come with the tailgate release cut out. There would be a way to re-fit the pull down strap but most people remove them.
Funny how the internet draws the cynical and bitter out of the woodwork. If it’s not for you or too expensive for you then why feel the need to announce your cynicism or bitterness. Yeah it’s out of my budget too, but it’s a very cool idea and no doubt it will sell well.

Would these work with the struts on a T6.1 with an electric tailgate?

Thanks for your comment. I know what this has cost to develop and produce etc. i actually think this is well worth it but appreciate others don't know the R&D and mould costs etc like we do.

Yes
The existing version of tailgate window pod will need 55mm trimming off the bottom. All new window pods will have this pre-done.

Love the design but worried about it being plastic. Is the hinge flap plastic as well? Got visions of it snapping after a while.
I thought the same so asked Van Shades and it's not the same material. I can't remember the exact answer but honestly, that won't be an issue
Will there be enough clearance behind the ushaped van furniture? Can’t measure myself as it’s on order at the moment. We have t5.1

Yes it will, no issues.
Great system it's so simple why didn't someone think of this years ago.
VW do something similar for the California but its over twice the price and not so we designed and built.

Nice bit of kit, how much is this sticking out in cm?
Only 75mm at the top and 90mm at the opening flap. This is over 30mm narrower than the genuine Cali version.

Never mind, just seen the price! £600, I think we'll just stick with sticking our chairs in the boot.
Do they don't rattle at all. Thats the beauty of paying for quality, design, development, materials, mould costs etc and still less than half the price of the VW version 😱😍

Just read a few comments about the price. I imagine the guys who thought of this only have a small profit margin. Taking into account their costs. But I can see this product getting lots of popularity and lots of sales. So, good luck to them! Some of the best ideas are the simple ones.
