Imo Tarte eyeshadows are good especially for those who don't want extreme pigment and just want their eyeshadows to go on easily . But still have impact. I'm low key proud of Tarte. They're really out here trying and succeeding.

I think Tarte is not exciting, but so solid. In a makeup group earlier this year, someone posed the question: if you could only have makeup from 3 brands, which would you choose? I surprised myself by picking Tarte, when I realized how I can honestly find something in every category that works for me.
Most of the time, those so called exciting stuff can lure more spending but not necessarily create more value. Some times the experience could be even worse. I think tarte is a very practical brand with reasonable price meeting every single need of daily makeup.
And again for the people in the back “a bundle is not a good deal if you dont want all of it” thanks Angelica, I always love your honesty, its so hard to know if you are getting a good deal and companies can be sneaky by forcing you to buy things you dont want to need
I've just found that those orangey reddish copper tones are one of my favorite colors with my blue eyes and warm skin tone. So pretty!
Maracuja is what americans call "passion fruit" btw. It's a staple juice everywhere in Brazil. It's a bit "tart", hence why they probably went with it, or sour, like a lime. It also makes you very very sleepy, you'll notice lots of sleepy time tea has passion fruit flower. The fruit is like a gel, around the seeds, and that's what you eat. So the lip is a bit like it.

I feel brands put little imprints into their shadow to make the otherwise neutral pallete look different when really at the end if the day is just "a neutral" pallet. Like most others on the market. Nothing groundbreaking. The plus side is that your eye look is pretty:)
The darker eyeshadow color matches the lip very well.
This eye look is so editorial, like those ads in a black cityscape with a rainy background. Who had Tarte making a huge 2022 comeback on their yearly predictions? That green would also take this a great day to night palette to take with you to work.

I think Tarte is doing a great job catering their products to most people that wear makeup. Let's be honest, indie eyeshadows are for a very targeted audience, people that are not on social media e youtube consuming beauty related content, probably prefer neutral and less textured eyeshadows. If that is what you want, I think the new formula from Tarte is an improvement of their old formula, but not as pigmented or textured as indie brands.
Wow that look definitely stunning on you. I was thinking I would of deepen the outer corner with the green. It is amazing how versatile and fun makeup is. I am not a lover of Neutrals unless it is a cool tone but never reach for those. Colour is my big love. ❤ you and hug your furry babies and for Ricardo as well.

You have me riding the Tarte train again! I bought some (ahem, okay, a lot) of their maracuja plumping lip formulas after you talked about them and love them. Now I really want to try this highlight and lip formula! Hide my debit card, someone!
Personally I don't love lashes because my natural (east asian) lashes are very short (and my eyes are also quite small). when I had lashes on, I feel like it looks very disproportionate to my eyes. However it does look gorgeous on you so yes, it suits different people!

Usually the bundles with a brush on QVC are the same price or just a couple dollars more than the makeup item. But most usually it's the same price so you're getting the brush for free. That's just how they do on QVC.
I’ve purchased Tarte products over the years from QVC and have learned that the brush is free. When the product reaches Ulta, the price is the same, but no brush. I used the Amazonian Clay foundation for years and always got a new brush. When I saw it at Ulta, thought the cost would be less since the brush wasn’t included, buy no. Same price as QVC, buy no brush.
Most of us who use Tarte know to go to QVC for the newest products and best deals.

The palette reminds me of the ND Star palette. Tarte has some good quality solids. Their skincare is also pretty good. I don’t love their foundations/concealers. Their lip products are excellent.

The price of the face contour wand is the same as the bundle price (brush is “free”) so at least for that one, it seems ok. That lip color was gorgeous on you!

Ive been loving Tarte the Maneater big palette is great and the cream blushes are a dream to use
At 54, there are areas of my hooded eyes that I apply shadow with a not round, angled brush & gently place a small amount of color where I want it & gently "push" the brush to spread it to a part of the that I can use a soft, fluffy brush to blend. This has helped avoid those faux wrinkles that can happen during blending.

I used to have the tartiest pallet and loved it! I finally decluttered it when it got too old. I’ve been wondering if they updated any formulas.
I got the Sweet tarte Frosted palette a couple months ago and it's great. Very soft, smooth, and blends wonderfully.

I’ve loved some of the QVC bundles when I adore a product and want multiple colors -- usually lipsticks. When the Maracuja Lip Cremes launched 7 months ago on QVC, I got 3 of them in different shades for the price of 1 (fyi Cranberry is my fav) - that’s a great value. Sometimes the brushes are good deals too but only if you know it’s the quality you like and not some special edition throw away brush. IT Cosmetics core line is great (much better than what they make for Ulta) and those brushes are often included with sets on QVC. So it just depends really.

I appreciate the tips on blending, I also have noticed my own lid skin moving when doing my own shadow. I'm the same way of being "violent" in the pressure. Lol.

I usually set my brow bone and leave the rest of the lid unset so that shadow sticks to the primer and in the areas I want blended, its easy to do so 🤷🏻♀️ that has made it easier on me because my primer is next level sticky 😂
I really wish the green in the huge palette was matte! I didn't really like the green in the formula they used, am I going to buy this little palette just for the green matte?? we shall see... lol

I cannot cope with lashes, no matter how hard I try, I’ve got every tool, watched every video, tried every style, but I cannot make them work for me. HOWEVER, I feel like half-lashes could maybe get on board with? Practice practice practice!
I agree, nothing is free.
Sometimes getting more stuff not to pay Shipping or pay less per item, just add on to the pile at 🏡home 🏡 and perhaps not really Eco.
But in the other end, if I have to pay, lets say 30 for one product or about the same for 3 to me, it's a no brainer(lets face it, when it comes to pretties, 🧠brain🧠 leave the building defeated). Like paying an extra Fiver on p&p or an extra nail polish.
It's like 3 for 2, that's 30% off per item, there's nothing free.
Value, Support, Invest=Cost. Companies set their prices and as Customers, we should decide for ourselves if for us that Item is Worth that amount.
Ms Nyqvist told us many time, Brands put themselves in certain prices categories
Tarte's BB Tinted Treatment is my go to as I'm not a foundation person. The SPF is perfect for Texas. I've worn it by itself (in TX and FL) and not been burned but I usually wear it under Makeup Forever's powder foundation.
But my true love from Tarte is the Glamazon lipgloss. It was limited, of course, and I've never bought a backup so fast. The color and coverage are beautiful, the formula is smooth and hydrating and the scent... omg... I need to find something else that smells like it. It vaguely reminds me of the vanilla scent of MAC but it's so much better. The scent alone is comforting to me (it may help that I got it right before I went to Disney World and wore it there a lot).
I think QVC just has contracts with their companies that there has to be exclusive bundles and products and QVC sells probably more Tarte than anyone else. I saw the IT cosmetics holiday book was exclusive to them until 12/31, too.
That said aside from the shape tape/ face tape line (that I don’t like anything from), I’m a fan of a lot of Tarte products. Foundcealer is my favorite foundation. I love their foundation sticks. I liked both the foundations that they released from the Sea line. Surfer curl was my favorite mascara for the longest time. I like the skin treat tinted moisturizer from the sugar rush line. I have a lot more Tarte products than I realized.
Do you have a favorite pink eyeshadow palette? I’ve been desperately looking for a pink eyeshadow palette with a good selection of bright pink mattes and light pinks, fuchsias, mauve etc… and not one with just two pink mattes (one baby pink and one hot pink) . Does this exist???
I couldn't find the click highlighter on the European Tarte site, hopefully they will sell it in 2023 🤞 I tried other things thanks to you like the cream duo bronzer and blush and I love it

I love the Tarte Christmas Coffee Palette from last year. I have been going back and forth about purchasing from Tarte. The packaging is always beautiful but their palettes are hit or miss for me. The Christmas coffee one stood out because the colors are up my alley..

Essence also has a pair of really nice and natural half lashes. I guess there are also new half lashes from the lash like a boss line, but I mean the lashes to impress ones. They are great for everyday and are actually the product I finally learned how to put those things on properly. They also have some bundled singles (not the single singles) in that line which are great to work with. Those also have transparent strips (the other line has blacks). I always thought i look stupid and so overdone with lashes but half lashes changed the game completely. Sometimes I just cut normal lashes in half, if I want something else. (take a shot for every time I wrote "lashes")
Lashes feel almost heavy on my eyes. Not super comfortable maybe even itchy at times. Idk I may be crazy but I plan on trying different brands.
Actually, QVC is what got Tarte off the ground and running. So I suppose that’s why they bring their new releases there first.

I hate the Tarte concealer from their Sea collection. I hope this new one is better. I usually think it is just better to not use it because that is how little I am able to tell I am even wearing it

So excited you reviewed that mini Maneater palette! I was the same as you with the big palette - I actually liked the color story when it dropped, but it was far too big for me to be into. I love that they released a mini of it and kept that gorgeous emerald green 😍 I've never tried tarte shadows but I'm probably buying that mini in my last makeup purchase of the year before my no buy starts
