I am so glad mom used to send me to the bank all the time to deposit. As a young teenager, there were not online banking. I learned from that. She sent me to pay bills! Relatives asked me to call up airlines to make reservation. I have had exposure early in life, thank you Lord!!! Dad even sent me to the Pharmacy when I did not even know how to pronounce the name as a youngster. LOL!
I have experienced the Power of saving money. With available cash (not credit cards) you feel a certain level of invincibility when you go to the mall, or shop for large ticket items. The stack of cash makes every forthcoming purchase a non-urgent event and that if you don't want it, walk away. The other thing is being able to pay for unexpected events with ease and still have 98% of your available cash. The best part, is to take a big vacation, pay for all of it with your credit card, then PAYING IT OFF with cash you saved for the trip. Now that's FLEXING!!! I learned that from you sis...
Another superb and important message. I am finding that not buying is empowering, "what can I do if I don't have this thing?" and I always find a solution. I am working on simplifying food/nutrician for myself and I am learning new ways to make food that is quick, very nutricious and very yummy. My new challenge is to incorporate lentils (will do that this week - those organic puy lentils are not going to cook themselves).
I had to learn to be grateful that I had the money to upgrade my home with solar power generators and a trifuel generator. Yes I depleted my savings challenge and my savings but I am now prepared for the next emergency power outage. I am thankful that I had the extra money to pay my electrician and HVAC guy to do the necessary upgrades to use my generators. I may have gone overboard with the items I purchased but I am grateful that I am better prepared. 😅
I Hit $12,590 k today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last week .i started with 3k in last week 2024..... now i just hit $12,590…..
Contentment and not trying to live up to other people's expectations can go a long way in being true to yourself. Be your OWN best friend! Don't count on other people to save you and count the blessings that you currently have.
Love that your videos are short and straight to the point. No fillers and time wasted. 👍👍💕

I have my savings listed as a bill on my budget. Anything over that is just icing!
Yes, this is the easiest way to get your mindset going. If savings is a bill you know you have to pay yourself.
I appreciate you and I am glad I subscribe..."saving is a form of self care". YES!!!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

There are decent recipes online to turn lentils into wraps. I'd share where, but I forgot.
@@ifetayodavidson-cade5613 thank you - I can find them :)
