i bought the same Conion c-100f back in 1984 off of a box truck parked on the side of Busch boulevard in Tampa Florida selling ghetto blasters at wholesale prices. i was amazed looking at all the different ones small and large he had on display outside and inside the truck. i paid only $250 for mine while stores were selling between $300 and $400.
Back in 1984 I had just finished my tour in the Navy and had no money but had been to Akihabara Tokyo Japan and other places but not interested in portable stereo at the time
The sound....now the power is still on and the top tape deck is still working (slower though). When I turn the function knob no sounds come out. I used it last year for Halloween and it was ok,then I stored it up as usual. Took it down a couple days ago...no sound 😢
@@TheoMaGee3 All repeat all your music from any source goes through the lower deck. now if the lower deck has not been used or is not working - well then the recording bar switch may be gummed up and need to be cleaned to get your music back - this is the first thing I check and it is behind the tape deck in the unit which meand it all has to come apart...
@@TheoMaGee3 yes sir that is correct the lower deck controls everything. And or also, on any cassette player that has a recorder, it is going to have that switch and all your source music will go through that switch on any machine that records.

Please which Toshiba are you referring to? As far as I am concerned this C-100F is the loudest One Piece box that you put 10 D batteries into to get tunes with. However there is a Panasonic RX-A2 or the RX-6400 that is louder with 10 D Batteries than this. and the jvc m90 is more refined as far as being loud too. I do not know of any Toshiba that is really Loud like the 3 previously mentioned.
Both are big and the Toshiba has better tape decks and a deeper bass than the C-100f which is just loud. If I was choosing between the two of them I would choose the Toshiba as it has individual speaker cabinets and thus a better sound separation and or course the speakers can separate from the main unit and the tape deck are of a much better quality of sound than of the Conion c-100f
Cassette2Go how much for a ten batteries well functional radio $350.00 ? money order I have never had a ten batteries radio rx5100's as you know are eight batteries I mean a Panasonic ten batteries radio . I have eight Panasonic radio's two are rx5100's and the others are smaller Panasonic's without the line in option models and are six batteries. I think oh I have a 5050 , I think that's the model but it's the one with the equalizer adjustments on the front of the radio above cassette door.these one's are not as durable or as long lasting as the 5100 do these ten batteries radio's out sound the 5100's or are they just bigger

Foxy 77 that's the alarm from the sensor on the radio that's so you can leave the radio somewhere and go play outside or inside doesn't matter and if someone comes near it and touches it it makes that sound so you know to go get your radio understand this is built into select models in the Conion family like this one and the TC 999 that I know of

if money orders are a problem I can go to antiques dealers & obtain two extra rx5100's that's how I got the two 5100's I already have plus it's not as common but I do have a 5020 model ( I think) it has the line in option i paid $11:00 dollars for it at a good will second hand store I also have other good cassette player radio's. it would be neat 2 get a couple radio's from you though . unless money orders are a hassle to you.

What went out?

How does this unit C-100 F compare to the Big Toshiba ?
