May sound silly to some, but I consider myself VERY lucky to have been on this earth to experience the talent of certain singers and music. Joe Cocker was one of those. LOVED everything Joe released. You Tube supplies my enjoyment of these legends that are no longer with us.

I was in a crowded bar one night. The band started this song. I saw a beauty queen and I ask her to dance. Did a sorta dirty dancing thing together...the crowd cheered us when it was over. We've been married 33 yrs now. Song still does it for us.

You know what after about 3 months dating my man now 25 years I did/copied the same song/strip show and it worked brilliantly. I’m just a country guy from Carolina, but I was at a bar in Houston and met three very pretty ladies from Russia. They asked me to request this song and I must admit that I had never heard it until that night then when it came on they all three dance the night away with me. It was a great memory.

A couple of other irreverent and hilarious films are "Waking Ned Devine" and "Calendar Girls" - very similar with regards to absurdist humor. "Calendar Girls" is based on a true story. Helen Mirren heads up an amazing female cast.

Was lucky enough to meet Joe before this video shoot in NY. Signed a photo and was so gracious to me. I was just a kid. And then, to top it off, got to go to the video shoot after. Little did I know at the time I was in the presence of a music legend. Seeing the freeze frame at the end brings me right back to that room and those memories.

This is one of the sexiest songs ever recorded. Every element of it comes together perfectly. The musicianship is outstanding, especially the horn section. The backup vocals are spot on and provide us with a soulful joy. Then we have the wonderful Joe Cocker with his incredibly unique voice. This song was made for him and it fits him like a glove.
About 12 years ago, I worked in a somewhat small business office and my boss had no issue with my playing music at my desk. Every time this song came on, he would yell from his office for me to turn this song up good and loud. It didn't matter if there were customers in the office or if one happened to be sitting at my desk. He loved this song and he wanted it good and loud and I was more than happy to give him this fantastic piece of music as loud as I could get it.
