    Thank you for sharing. This brings back memories when I climbed in a decade ago. Good times!

    Over the past 4 years Mount Fuji has been visible in full at least once a day for 57% of the days, much clearer than you might think (obviously winter is best)

    Thank you sooooo much for sharing your experience!!! I'll climb next month hopefully and just day hike too because lodges are fully booked already on our planned date. Anyway, question.. i saw some guys just wearing shirt on the summit, it's not that cold during the day?

    hi what time you start hike? and what time u reach back at 5th station? im planning for day hike bcoz many huts already full

    • @FreedomSprout
      @FreedomSprout  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that's true the huts are almost completely booked unless you do a trail other than the main one. We started at exactly 5:30am and we were back to the 5th station at almost exactly 5:30pm. I know it can be done, up and done, in 4-6 hours if you're really fit and don't get any mountain sickness. It can easily be done in 8-10 hours if you go steadily and don't stop at the top for too long.

    Is the k hotel near at 5th station? Hm per night? How to book? Or did you guys took a taxi? Hm is the payment?

    • @FreedomSprout
      @FreedomSprout  ปีที่แล้ว

      It was a short drive. I believe it was about 20 minutes, maybe less, to the 5th Station. It was very affordable. Around $50 USD. We booked the hotel online through booking.com. You could easily take an Uber or taxi to the 5th station from the hotel. The cab ride would probably be around $30 USD.

    Hi , are there any hotels in fifth station ? Because I am planing to travel by bus . I would
    Like to do it in a day and comeback to base camp or any other city nearby.

    • @FreedomSprout
      @FreedomSprout  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe there are at the fifth station, but it would be cheaper to find a hostel around the base of the mountain like we did. I have heard the hotels along the path are already starting to fill up for this year since tourism is back open in Japan this year.

      @@rrynamariano7826 I trekked Mount Fuji solo on 26th June, a week before the season open. When you hike solo , your best friends are your shadow and the mountain..

      Thank you! When it opens in July and you can book the huts, I'd suggest making it a two-day trip so you can wake up and see the sunrise from the top. That's what we'll do next time. If you've only got one day, it's still a great trip though.

  • @miggleproductions
    @miggleproductions ปีที่แล้ว

    Heya! Would you know if the stations allow you to walk in and take shelter in the warmth? I’m planning on doing the overnight hike to see the sunrise next week but don’t have a booking at any huts and am worried about the wind/cold. Many Thanks!

    • @FreedomSprout
      @FreedomSprout  ปีที่แล้ว

      From what we saw, I would think they would allow you in the entrance areas and in the shops that have an inside area. However, the huts are small so there is very little area outside of the actual paid sleeping spots.

      @vaibhavahuja4001 ปีที่แล้ว

      same here, i have been trying to get a reservation but seems all the huts are booked. how did it go for you? @miggleproductions

      @@vaibhavahuja4001 I'm actually sitting at the peak of Mt Fuji right now having a snack. I did the bullet climb and the altitude does get to you...I'm trying to shake off a headache and hoping it'll fade as I descend later.
      Plenty of other people do the bullet climb. Each station/hut was packed. Towards the top/end, it gets EXTREMELY CROWDED. The tourist guides start waking their groups at around 1ish to depart from the 8th station and it was literally stop and go single file traffic for people between stations 8 to the summit. Luckily I managed to catch the sunrise just in time.

    • @FreedomSprout
      @FreedomSprout  ปีที่แล้ว

      I know there are several companies that offer guides, but I'm not sure of any specific ones and I wouldn't want to recommend a guide I haven't used. However, if your concern is being around people, you will be surrounded by people pretty much the entire time. Since the main trail is really only open July and August, it's full of people. I did find this link that may be helpful: www.kantoadventures.com/mt-fuji-climbs.html

    How long did it take you to hike Mount Fuji?

    • @FreedomSprout
      @FreedomSprout  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It took us exactly 12 hours from Station 5 to the top and back to Station 5. It could be done much faster, but we were taking our time and I did get a little mountain sickness, but nothing too bad - it slowed us down a little though.
